Jun 30, 2025Exceptional vacation
Monday June 30 I'm writing this on the eve of our departure: tonight is our last meal at the buffet and we'll be checking out of rooms 121 and 122 tomorrow. One word: exceptional vacation. All the staff are kind, considerate and courteous. The food is excellent with enough choice to eat differently over a week's holiday. The cleanliness of the rooms and the complex is exceptional, there are staff working to keep the site clean h24. This may seem odd to some, but we have no negative points. Well done to the management and staff. We went on 2 excursions during the week with nexus tour: Turtles in Akumal and a closed cenote with guide Max. Chichen Itza, an open cenote and a visit to a colonial church during the day (from 8am in the morning to 8pm in the evening with the perfecto mota guide). I highly recommend them Stephanie and Olivier

Family vacation
Disappointed in the beach due to excessive sargassum which caused a bad odor but other than that it was amazing.

An excellent vacation
Our family of 12 all had an amazing time at Riu palace Riviera Maya. The location was an easy walk to Playa Del Carmen. The beach was large and nice. The resort was beautiful. The service was 100% perfect in all areas. I have never been to a place with absolutely every staff member being excellent but it was here. We all loved it!

Second time in a Riu Palace and glad to say it met my expectations.food in general was of a high quality with ample choice although the steakhouse was a bit of a let down with a very chewy fillet steak. More attention also needed to clear up plates left in hallways by guests. One plate appeared to have been left for at least 2 days.

Great place to stay, this time the whole family visited, family friendly, near downtown Playa del Carmen.
