My husband and I have been going to this hotel 2-3 times a year for about 6 years. The staff is always friendly and willing to go out of their way for you. The manager is awesome!!! They have become our Dominican family and Riu Palace Punta Cana my Dominican home!
We visited Riu Palace Punta Cana 11/14-11/18. Had an amazing time! Food: Food was amazing! Best I’ve had at an all inclusive. There were more options on the weekend when there was more people at the resort. On the weeknights only 1 or 2 restaurants were open, but the alternated every night so you still get a good variety. We ate at the steakhouse twice, and the Italian restaurant once. Had lobster ravioli at the Italian, it was great! Tried the Ribeye and the grilled lobster tail at the steakhouse, loved the preparation of the lobster! Breakfast and lunch buffets were great as well. Enough options for everyone. Rooms: We had two junior suites with standard view and they were decent! Hot water/water pressure was great throughout the stay. The rooms were pretty humid, which is to be expected traveling to the Caribbean. Pool/beach: We pretty much stayed at the pool and beach the entire time. Water was very clean and the seaweed was minimal. There were a few people walking around selling cigars/coconuts but it wasn’t a bother. Plenty of beach chairs to go around. Great Mojitos! Covid-19: The resort was very quiet. Seemed like it was only around 20% occupancy. It literally felt like we had the resort to ourselves. Because of this, we felt safe the entire time. Chairs were more than 6 feet apart, masks were required, and hand sanitizer was plentiful. The swim up bar was closed due to covid. You had to have a mask on to get a drink at the bar, or you would not be served. We loved that everyone working was very strict about the Covid-19 protocol. Felt safer than being in the grocery store back home! Shout out to the servers Olivo and Hilario, they were fantastic! Every staff member we encountered was great, we felt genuinely welcomed!

Great Time while there, services and the areas around the hotel were perfect, I love the shows at night, Overall I was very satisfied. The food and restaurants were incredibly good. The bar and drinks were super good and the swimming pool and beach too.
Pausing on Purpose
What can I say. The palace staff treated my bestie and I like queens. Sandy and Joel greeted and catered to our needs from breakfast to dinner. No glass was empty weather it be champagne or coffee. True gentlemen! This was the perfect escape from the mundane life back in the states. COVID-19 has impacted many things including the food. But I didn’t come here to eat. It was a much needed pause to reset my mind body and spirit. We will return and with that I recommend
