Perfect place to relax and enjoy. Wide variety of food options. Super fun activities especially the Riu Party. Staff are very helpful. The hotel ambiance is very good with breathing views of the beach. Can’t wait for our next family trip to this hotel.

Outstanding resort outstanding fun🌞
Although we belong to the unlimited vacation club we love the Riu resorts more than the hotels that are in our vacation club. The food was absolutely excellent as was the service. A big thank you to Abu from the lobby bar. He made us laugh and his service was impeccable. Love Veronica, Miguel, and Nick from the buffet. The Japanese restaurant was perhaps our favorite.. thank you Myrna! The Italian restaurant was unlike the Italian restaurants in most of the places we've been. Absolutely wonderful and we remembered the employees from 15 years ago when we were here.. Carlos, Rigo, Francisco, and Arcos. Juan was the hardest worker I've ever seen at the pool bar 🌞 I really can't say enough nice things about this resort and it's compact enough where you meet almost everyone. Oh the entertainment was great there was something to do every hour plus at night there were lots of entertainment programs to go to plus the various parties at the Riu Caribe! Our grandkids liked them but we didn't make it to any of them, but I was told they were fun 🌞 the view from my room was spectacular 🏝️

The facilities were immaculate! The food at all the restaurants was outstanding. The staff was friendly, helpful and wonderful in every way. The only thing we all would have enjoyed more is if the gym was larger. It was very small and we were on top of each other. It would be nice if there was a space to stretch out and do free weights. All of my family who enjoys working out, was a bit disappointed in how small this space is to work out. I felt like I was literally on top of other guests when working out and only went to the gym two days. Otherwise I would have rated it 5 stars for everything else.

Relaxing stay
Property is in a prime location. Great beach area and friendly staff. Pools were also great. There were many food options. They don’t take reservations but somehow they wouldn’t take people sometimes as it appeared to be waitlists you could join for the restaurants. Inquire! Otherwise the buffet is a great option with super friendly staff.

BIRTHDAY STAY
I had a great time with my wife. Our purpose was to celebrate my birthday and visit my mother's burial site in Chizen Itza. The hotel was clean, and the staff was so friendly. I loved being around my ancestry cohorts and learning about the area's history. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. I hope we can afford to come back and stay.
