    The best all inclusive!

Loved our first time in Aruba. A country that prides itself and being very safe and having excellent drinking water created by the desalination plant. A very arid and plenty of cactus in the desert setting. We had a five stop air conditioned bus trip and a sunset sail on a catamaran that was absolutely wonderful. The beaches are clean and easy to walk with beautiful views. A true slice of paradise can’t say enough about the Riu Antillas staff. They are on top of things and help you with any questions. The property is easy to walk, easy access to the pools and with five restaurants it was wonderful.

    Most amazing trip ever

This was as an adult sibling vacation. Amazing is all I can say. From the moment we walked into mimosas and greeted by the front desk, to the bell boys and gorgeous room. Everyone we meet was happy and helpful. Down the pools and beach, just beautiful. Tons of activities and eating options. Having a ability to walk over the family hotel and eat there was great. Just amazing

    THIS HOTEL IS AWEFUL

We booked this hotel for our 30th anniversary. When we checked into this hotel the staff was very friendly. However when we were brought to our room it had 2 twin beds, there wasn't any bedding other than sheets. the mattresses were this and were hard as can be, as ere the pillows. after the 1st night we went to the front desk to see if we can change our room and were told the rooms were assigned on a first come first serve basis BUT they can upgrade us for a fee. We checked out the next day. I would NOT recommend this hotel.

    Don’t stay here

My husband and I have visited Aruba around five times total. We have always chosen to stay in Riu Palace adults only however, this past visit was not near as enjoyable. We were told It is under new management and that was very evident, VERY poor management at that. My husband has severe food allergies, and management has always been accommodating in the past. This particular manager Carlos , would not even take the time of day to meet with us in the lobby quickly so that we could discuss his food concerns. This made the rest of our trip severely inconvenient and frustrating for him and I as well. There were also multiple times when our key card for our room just quit working four times total in the five days that we were staying there and we would have to go all the way from the 16th floor down to the front desk to get a new card and 3 of those times there were other people that were also having the same issue. I am not sure why this resort cannot get with the program and issue key car bracelets instead of saving $ so that everyone has to be inconvenienced having to dig through their beach bags or pocket for key cards that don’t even work. My husband and I visited the Riu palace next-door and noticed that the service management and food quality was 10 times better. Also, at the adults only Riu you have to literally wait in line if you want to get dinner. No reservations which is absurd. The host had told us that we could get seated at a specific time and when we arrive she tried telling us the steak house was “full for the night”. How are they going to tell us we can sit then tell us they are no longer serving? I brought this to Carlos attention and he of course did nothing about it , seemed as though he had better things to worry about. My husband and I travel constantly and have never had such poor service, aside from the Riu in Bahamas lol —- Ive already told my husband I am done with RIU resorts all together after these two experiences. So unprofessional . They used to have entertainment outside at the adults only location and now they don’t even have music playing inside. They didn’t have anything playing at the bar or outside bar by the beach. It is sad when the family friendly resort is more upbeat than the adults only. I also noticed when we walked up to the room the glasses we had been drinking out of that were provided for us had been washed in our sink (who knows with what) and set with the lip of the glass down directly on the bathroom countertop to “dry”. I am appalled that we thought that we could drink out of these!! Absolutely disgusting! I have been to a few resorts where they do this and do not drink from the glasses usually but we actually caught them red-handed this time, I should have known- but for anyone else head my warning. It was impossible to get towels or body wash to our room, no joke we went to front desk asking for it 3 times and they told us they would bring to room, next day still nothing! Then they told us they would bring it still nothing. Literally had to take multiple showers with freaking shampoo because we ran out of hand soap trying to use as body wash literally so ratchet!! We will be staying at St Regis next time as it’s right next door and I’m positive WAY better service and management! I don’t see this particular resort staying in business if they continue operating the way they are. Sad when such terrible management can run long time “customers” off.
