    Great Resort and Island!

Just returned from an amazing 5 day family girls trip at Riu Antillas! The weather was perfect-my first time in Aruba and I'm sold. The hotel was great. I don't normally go to all inclusive as I had a bad experience at one in DR, but this one was excellent. Food was very good, drinks were excellent, beach was amazing, pool was relaxing and entertainment was fun. The Riu party on Friday night was super fun. Karaoke night was also fun and some of the guests should have recording contracts! Staff was very sweet and accommodating, especially Mona the waitress and Jonathan and Gerardo at the martini bar. Excellent martinis! If you want a palapa (shade at beach which you do need) get up early, like 6:30, and have them put out chairs for you and put your beach towels on them. Bring something to tie them to the chair with or they WILL blow away! Also, bring a hat with a tie or it WILL blow away! Amazing sunsets at about 6:50 at this time of year. Enjoy!

When can I get back here?

The service and friendliness here is excellent. The restaurants and food options/availability is wonderful for an all inclusive resort. The entertainment and staff here are amazing, welcoming, fun, and kind. Very clean!!

    Great place to stay!

Excellent service all around and great location right on the beach! The bedrooms were very clean, not the most fancy, but we didn’t spend much time there anyway!

    Disappointing Stay

My wife and I just returned from a very disappointing week stay. We opted for the Elite Club which sounded really good on paper but didn't live up to expectations but the most disappointing aspect of our stay was the construction happening next store at the Riu Palace. Between being woken up at 6:30 in the morning with loud banging or the constant jack hammering that never let up all seven days we were there, it really made it impossible to relax and enjoy a peaceful week in Aruba. The work being done made the use of the Elite pool a very unpleasant experience and not relaxing at all. No one from management ever expressed any type of apologies for this and this construction was never mentioned when this stay was booked. No one ever even asked how we enjoyed our stay when checking out. It felt like no one from management was even there. Unrelated to the construction noise, the beach chair game is just an awful experience and not for me. All that said, most of the staff were pleasant and some were really great which really salvaged this trip from being a total disaster. Unfortunately, I feel like the Elite Club is just a money grab with no real advantage while this construction is happening. I wouldn't recommend this place for their total lack of transparency and honesty.
