Enjoyable family vacation
We brought our family here to celebrate our children’s milestones. I was surprised at how new resort looked, having stayed here 19 years ago. We were pleased with the attentive and friendly staff, high quality entertainment, good dining options, nice pool and beach areas; and easy access to nearby towns and cities. We will definitely return to this resort in the future. It is a midrange resort in terms of food quality but still good.

Old infrastructure
While the staff were moderately friendly and the food was okay, the hotel is old and not well maintained. Our family had three rooms and the ac in all three had issues. Our room Smelled very badly of mold and mildew and the ac would not go below 24 degrees Celsius. I would not stay here again and question the Riu family of resorts if this is representative of the friendliness and quality

Our 3rd Time Staying at Riu Jalisco
Great Holiday! Great Food! Great Staff! The staff mentioned to us that they will be undergoing some renovations this summer! We saw a few pics of what they will be doing - its going to be all updated and looking great! But please - do not take away the trees that are located throughout the resort - that's why we keep going there - it feels like a piece a paradise! The only thing I would ask - is to have the 24 hour bar show the Canadian Hockey Games. Its playoff time in Canada in May when we travel - but we didn't mind going over to The Vallarta to watch them.
