We saw the hotels near Cancun, the ones in hotel zone and we made the best choice to go to costa mujeres, beaches are perfect and you don’t have all the boats and cars traffic like in Cancun. Food was also super good and you have a lot of variety everyday, everything was also super clean and the staff are super professional and always smile.

Winter break in paradise
We’ve had an amazing holiday from start to finish. Upgraded on arrival by the very friendly Brandon on reception to a sea view room - the room is fantastic, huge bed, well-stocked minibar, large bathroom and kept spotlessly clean by the lovely Maria, with thoughtful touches such as little towel animals to greet us. The sunrise over the ocean each morning has been spectacular. Food has been great, our waitress, Elizabeth, in the main buffet restaurant for breakfast and lunch has been so friendly and attentive. We’ve eaten at the specialty restaurants in an evening, food in all 4 and the main restaurant has been delicious with friendly waiter service throughout. I visited the spa and 2 occasions, for a facial and a massage, both treatments were heavenly and again, staff were lovely. Pool areas are beautiful with plentiful loungers and the beach is stunning. The hotel grounds and the hotel itself are kept immaculate by a hardworking team of cleaners and grounds men. All of the staff have been so friendly and a real credit to the hotel. Stayed November 17-24, 2024. I’ve come to identify a high level of hospitality with the RIU brand that I have grown to trust, and I’ve not been disappointed. RIU Dunamar was very close. Great staff, and a focus on cleanliness and friendliness. The beach is gorgeous and you can find empty lounges well into midday. I had only 3 issues: The rooms are lovely, but my pillows smelled really bad, like motel-level bad. And the mini-fridge made so much noise when it cycled on. I managed to work around the smelly pillows by draping a clean beach towel over them. The other issue was in the buffet. It took a long time to replenish the popular dishes. This happened every day and every meal. The other RIU’s I’ve been to seem to have that timing lined up better. Maybe in the busier season they have better timing. I’d still go back, I’m still a firm RIU client.

I am going to file a official complaint on the staff at Rui resorts.I don't normally do bad reviews on place or resorts and me of my family have traveled our fair share of the rui resorts in other countries. The main problem we have encounter in this practical resort was lack of knowledge and miscommunication.My children this first hand .The staff i didn't properly informed us of the the visitor rules and time restrictions.My older son went in town to celebrate his 21st bday with his friends and siblings.One if his friends was staying at the sister Rui,Before they left off the resort they checked in with the front desk about the resort policy and what time they would have to be back on the along with visiting rules.The front desk informed them incorrectly about this matter.When my kids came back from the club at 4:30am they were all allowed back into the resort thur security and made it to the lobby .This is were the problem lays .I as informed that the one friend could not spend the night after the security allowed him on the property and in the main lobby and his ride had left.I was called down to the front desk by my children not bythe staff members to try and resolve the issue.The staff was not well trained and had lack of knowledge on how to resolve matters at hand asked to speak with a manager they have no night shift manager to address any issues we had to wait until the morning for the manger to gets there at 7am and he didn't show or produce anything in writing about the resorts policy or rules, so now we at word of mouth that professional or accurate and he covered up for his staff members lack knowledge that resorted my son friend to catch a Uber early in the morning out his own pocket because he couldn't stay 2 hours for management.

Great Family Vacation
Beautiful location, great food, zero complaints. First beach I have been to in a tropical destination where no one approached me to sell anything. This resort has everything you need. It’s very clean and the nightly entertainment was great.
