Renaissance Ross Bridge -Poor Management and Extremely Disappointing
It's been 11 days since my daughters wedding at the Renaissance Ross Bridge and resort and we are extremely disappointed in the treatment we received and the rooms we booked for our stay. We arrived and checked in at the front desk. As we proceeded to our assigned rooms we found they were not cleaned or ready for our stay. We were then assigned different rooms and discovered the toilet in our room was not working,no shampoo in the shower and only 1 towel. I reported these issues 4-5 times to the front desk and got no satisfaction. We had to use the facilities in the other rooms we had booked for family or the lobby restrooms. I left several messages for the Front Desk Manager after we checked out and have not received a call back. After spending a small fortune on this venue, it's apparent Ross Bridge Management or Marriott does not value their 20 year BONVOY Platinum Members. My other daughter is getting married next year and I will NOT even consider this venue for her wedding and will NOT recommend The Renaissance Ross Bridge to anyone. This facility is over hyped and is NOT a premier venue in Birmingham. There are plenty of places in Birmingham that appreciate their customers and value their business. The arrogance displayed by Ross Bridge Management is appalling and extremely disappointing. What was supposed to be a joyous celebration turned to anything but that. As of the writing of this review I still have not received my Marriott reward points.

Beautiful Scenery
Very nice hotel and the scenery is beautiful. Every staff member we encountered was extremely nice and helpful. The rooms were very quiet and clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great. Even the toiletries were relaxing - you felt you were at a spa. Would highly recommend this place to everyone - even non-golfers, like us.

Not what it used to be! Sad for such a beautiful hotel.
We have stayed at this property several times over the last few years and staff and property have always been great. This time not so much. We couldn't even order food in the restaurant for an hour and were told to use room service, which we did - the food never came - really - chicken fingers and the kitchen was overwhelmed. Front desk was rude, long wait to check in, one bellman, one valet. Friends in the area said they used to use this as a weekend getaway but have stopped going because of lack of service and attitudes.

One night stay
There was hair in the walk in shower and I found a roach crawling around while I was taking a shower. There was also a sprite cap left in the floor. The air condition didn’t work. No microwave anywhere.

Splendid Suprise Find!!
1 night stay which we would have stayed longer if we weren't just passing through. The pool looks great and was very busy at 930AM!! Restaurant was serving late so we could order a steak at 9pm! Salads were great! Room was clean and there were local shops nearby within walking distance. The resort is located at the edge of a neighborhood and I cod have easily taken a nice walk through and enjoyed viewing some of the homes. Will book here again on next road trip for sure!!
