Pros: Good food selection and friendly staff. We recommend Ricardo Rentería as your server Cons: The rooms are somewhat outdated and the drinks selection could be better Overall a great option for the price

Pictures looked great, but they missed the mark.

This is not a relaxing resort. There are many areas that are off limits, and for "members" only. The food was not good for breakfast and lunch, but the dining options for dinner were wonderful. The pool is very overcrowded and very noisy. There was a guy yelling in Spanish and blowing a whistle most of the time. The hotel is falling apart and very dirty. Our mini bar was not stocked until late at night after calling three times during the day and finally going down to the front desk. You can not swim at the beach due to the rip tide and black flag warnings. I would not stay here again, that is for sure.

Do NOT book with Expedia through this hotel!!! You will be last priority even if you PAID for an ocean front!!!

I've never had such a horrible experience with a hotel. I work in the hotel industry for 25+ years, so I know what's up! As mentioned in the title, we booked with Expedia. When we got there, the hotel was apparently at full capacity, so they decided to change our room WITHOUT telling us, and slid in that they "upgraded" us to have "Altitude" access. So we were confused what that even was, and questioned it... It means that you have cabana access, "supposed" room amenities like "enhanced bath products, bathrobe and slippers that we DID NOT GET, "Sky Lounge" access which, is a tiny tub "pool" on the rooftop, and a bar that doesn't do blended drinks. Also, access to restaurants that you apparently have to pay for??? Here I thought this hotel was "All Inclusive" - WRONGGGGG! (Side note that the bartender (Lous?) was terrific! He made sure to let us know about what was going on for the night and also made us the best drinks we had there.) Hence, finding out they changed our room to the back of the hotel with the street view and the parking lot where their employees arrive. I was beyond livid because we PAID for an OCEAN VIEW!! To which they 1. Would not refund us the difference and said that we could take it up with Expedia -- WTH can Expedia do if YOU changed our room and refused to bump someone else?!?! (Like I said, I know hotels in and out, and I know that this is Exactly what happened!) 2. SAID you would see if the next day an ocean view room was available and MADE NO CONTACT or COMMUNICATION that there was or wasn't one. 3. Only AFTER I told them this was NOT Acceptable over 15 times, did they offer us 30-minute back and shoulder massages (which of course we would have to tip the massage lady since it wasn't her fault). That should have been included. The food was below subpar. I get mass production, but this felt like fast food would've tasted better. The one thing I did appreciate was that every restaurant served tapas portions. So I didn't feel like I was wasting food when I didn't eat the majority of it. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend you eat outside to get an actual taste of decent food. The pools were ok... we stayed on the adult side so it wasn't too crowded. The Jacuzzi jets didn't work, so that was wonderful. The map isn't the best, so if you really wanna stay here, best to familiarize yourself with the restaurants on the 1st day you get here because it's not explained very well. Entertainment was also a letdown. This hotel is not a place that has many activities, like 90% of what most all-inclusives have. Definetly recommend paying more and going somewhere else to have at least a quality stay. *** Also, another thing to note that I didn't find out until after booking - the ENTIRE BEACH is not swimmable. I was not aware, and for some forsaken reason, these hotels don't tell you that when researching. I had to find this out through a review someone made!!

Kindness and Great Service for All Ages

We had a wonderful experience at the buffet during our stay. The staff went above and beyond to make sure my elderly father was comfortable and had everything he needed. They were attentive to his mobility challenges and always offered to assist him to his seat or bring him what he needed from the buffet. A special thank you to Erik, at O restaurant, his assistant during the morning buffet – kindness, patience, and professionalism truly made our mornings enjoyable. Great service like this makes all the difference when traveling with older family members. Highly recommend!
