    It was a decent stay

We\ stayed in the fantasy apple suite and it was a decent suite. Their was lots of room to move around, the pool was nice, the room was comfortable to stay in. You could tell not many renovations were done to the room in a long time, the stairs in the suite were very noisy and the tv was so far away from the couch upstairs. If you stay here be sure to get your ice before you get to the room because it's in the main building. All in all I would come back.

    Don’t even bother...

First room wasn’t even clean, we were greeted with a funky smell, dirty champagne tub and messy bed. The second room was identical minus the dirty bed. I am NOT impressed at alll. It looks like the 80’s threw up this decor and smells like it too. I should have just went to a motel for truckers and saved $700. Wouldn’t come back if they paid me!

    Still Needs Improvement

My husband and I are Forever Lovers and decided to return to the Poconos for a staycation and my Birthday. Due to the coronavirus we haven't been anywhere this year. I was reluctant to return due to a horrible experience at Paradise Stream in 2017. However I changed my mind after seeing that there had been upgrades done and that they were adhering to standards set forth from our Governor. In 2017 we were provided a discount on the next stay. I mentioned the discount to the reservations agent but I was told that they didn't see the discount on our account. We booked the Garden of Eden Apple and arrived on the 27th. We were upgraded to the Champagne Towers and inquired about the discount only to be told again that they didn't see it. We added a day to our stay. The clerk charged our requested extra day the rate for the Fantasy Apple which was confusing because we originally booked the Garden of Eden Apple. The Fantasy Apple is a higher room rate. He also told us that we were gold status but quickly changed to silver status as he was showing 5 stays there and 1 at Paradise Stream. My husband and I were Forever Lovers since the 90's and knew we had been there more than 6 times. My husband knew that our extra day fee was incorrect and had the clerk correct it but I am still feeling that we were charged the wrong room rate. We also asked them to check our Forever Lovers status which was being handled by Sabrina. She told us their system changed and she needed to check with another person and would let us know the next day. We found that we have a total of 9 stays. My husband called Paradise Stream to inquire about out discount that no one could see but the person found it and updated our account. We were told by Sabrina that our status would advance to Gold after our 10th stay and we could apply the discount if we booked again. We cannot help but wonder how many perks we were denied due to our status being incorrect due to an upgrade we knew nothing about. When we got to our room and I felt it was the cleanest it had ever been with a few modifications. There are still improvements that should be made in cleaning and the rooms but this time I wasn't totally repulsed like in 2017. The food was cold every day during our stay. The first night I found hair in my salad dressing which was in a cup. Day two we requested our food be hot and it was exceptional in taste and temperature day 3 dinner was hot but at our request. Breakfast was another story. It was cold every day which I could not understand because we were being served by the waiters via a buffet with the warmers. Today we asked for our food to be microwaved but they took our plates and got us more food from the cold buffet which was disappointing. We were upgraded to the Roman Towers for an additional fee of which we decided to utilize. The remote controls for the air temperature radio and television were dirty which should not be since coronavirus is rampant. Luckily I had wipes and cleaned them for the next guest. Overall the experience wasn't horrible but it could be so much better and I was expecting more due to changes with coronavirus. The social distancing was good in the main areas. I need the Forever Lovers program to be thoroughly explained as I feel we have missed out on different perks ghis program is supposed to provide. I also hope that our discount remains visible on our account should we decide to return. We have adult children interested in bringing their significant others in the future and I really want them to visit the resort without being disappointed. I am happy for the few upgrades done but a little more cleaning can and should be done. I hope you guys really consider my review and reevaluate practices. I have added a picture of one of the remotes that I cleaned with wipes...that dirt should not have been there. Thank you

    Great Trip

This was our 10th trip to a cove Haven resort and 6th time to Pocono Palace and we were EXTREMELY satisfied. This had to be one of the better trips we had. Not sure if it had to do with my low expectation due to the covid regulations but Pocono Palace did a great job. All of the outdoor activities were open. We fished, Went on paddles boards, Kayaks Canoes and boats. The outdoor pool and hot tub were open as well all the outdoor "stuff" too. They had a DJ at the pool in the day time and they had bands and DJ's outdoor at night. We did miss the main bar not being open and not being able to see Shane the bartender. But Tan lines was open and they had Drinks at dinner. Also the Food was much much better then our recent stays. We did not have a bad meal our entire stay. the last few times I thought the food took a turn in the wrong direction but this time every meal was GREAT. I noticed the staff was a bit more friendlier too- everyone from housekeeping to maintenance to the front desk and wait staff all said hi and thanked us for being there. That was noticeable and a nice touch. The only thing missing was the CXO games but with the lake and pool and night time bands we really did not miss that, We are so glad we went and are looking forward to going back.
