We just visited Costa Rica and we loved our entire stay we were celebrating my birthday and we decided to stay in this outstanding all inclusive resort We loved the restaurants the service the empaty of the employees specially Rene our favorite server. We did not have any complain at all the view from the room the grounds and the Nature specially the monkies on the Beach. 100% we recomend this resort. We hope to come back soon.
Carlos and the gang took great care of us. I highly recommend doing the star class upgrade and at least 5-7 days especially if you go explore! The food was some of the best we have had for all inclusive resorts!
Staff at this resort is rude and does not care. Guest services will never own up and respond back to each review even when negative while putting a positive spin. They would routinely go in our room when we put do not disturb sign. They have a dumb policy of removing luggage from room at 10 AM on check out date even if you have not checked out. They will tell you they do it at noon but I was at airport at noon and my luggage was gone from my room before breakfast was closed. All this after I had do not disturb sign. The star class is a joke. Its just a scam. If you make a mistake and book at this resort, make sure do not pay for star class upgrade. Food sucks and not hygenic at all. We found hair in the food and stuck to hot food after. In days of COVID, I am suprised they are not shut down with their service. I have been to all inclusives in Mexico, Carrribean etc and have never seen such third class level of service and let me not get started on bed bugs. I will never go here and recommend anyone thinking about this place to cance. Watch guest response not take ownership to this review either. There is a review few reviews back where a passport was stolen and I was there when I saw that customer frustrated and I saw staff laughing about it. They found his passport in trash can behind desk and they were non chalant about it. We saw atleast 2 other customers complain to guest services while we were checked in. We read reviews and fell for sweet response from management. BEWARE ITS A TRAP. THEY DO NOT TAKE OWNERSHIP AND HAVE A STANDARD ANSWER FOR EVERYTHING THAT THEY ARE SUPER BUSY.
Planet Hollywood Experience
Planet Hollywood Pura Vida Returned February 9th from a 4 night visit to the PH Costa Rica. We reserved a room with a king bed abd sofa. The sleep sofa wasn’t great but housekeeping gave me an extra comforter to put on the mattress which solved the problem. In fact, housekeeping was awesome. If there was anything you needed, all you had to do was ask. Rene on the pool and every employee we encountered went above and beyond to be helpful. They were all a friendly and fun group. Each employee had their “passion” written on their name badge. It was fun to see what everyones passion was. We ate at the buffet breakfast every morning. There was a wide choice on the menu which included made to order omelettes, fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, french toast ... We ordered lunch/drinks on the beach several days. The beach staff were prompt and the food good. Getting a chair was never a problem. Ask for Rene on the pool. My favorite restaurant was the Steak House thanks to Diego the Chef for his service. I can not wait to come back again. Pura Vida
New Hotel with Star Perks
I actually stayed at this hotel February 2019. My guest and I greeted with welcome drinks. I upgraded us to the Star Plus with a Swim Up. We had our own concierge in charge of all tours as well as checking on our well being.(Honestly we booked everything ourselves and only reached out when there were major issues) There are go carts that run but not as frequently as you would like. The result is huge on a hill so be prepared to walk if you didnt want to wait around for one to pick you up.Didnt expect it to be super busy which it wasnt. Not all the restaurants were open everyday.Even with the Star package, not all premium food and drinks are included so be aware of. Activities were OK. ALl bartenders were amazing.Beach is subpar. So much low tide made the water unenjoyable. Ended up getting a car service to take us to another beach. Not much activities. There was only one Foam party and it lasted maybe an hr.If you want more action, the Sports Bar after 9pm will have you partying.Theres a Dj, Bar and pool tables.That was my favorite spot to either have a good lunch or take a shot! The only major downside was there was alot of ants and these little worm like bugs constantly in our room. we had to call Maintenance everyday to clean them up. walked around the whole time in flip flops to avoid stepping on them. The provided us with spray which didnt work. That made sleeping unenjoyable. I would actually rate this hotel a 3.5. Expected a little more but they may have improved.
