    Great Resort & Staff

We came as two couples for a pair of 50th Birthday celebrations. We did Star Class Adult Scene. Excellent staff - friendly, available, and professional. Housekeeping was thorough and prompt each day, and handled any requests we had with ease, and usually within minutes. (Thank you Veronica) The butler staff - we had Damien and Miguel, and they were AMAZING. Any need or request we had was something they could do in minutes. Each day we got a run down of our dinner for the evening. They would check in with us (live or via WhatsApp) at least 3-4 times a day, just to see if we were all set with needs. They always had a friendly smile and high energy, and were great to just chat with. I'm sure others are just as great, but we hit a home run with having D&M. They even decorated the beds for the 50th celebration - a really nice touch. Pool and Cabana area was great. Yes, you have people who run down at 6am to put towels down, but generally we could find a spot for our stuff and then head to the pool bars or lazy river. Highly recommend doing a day in the Cabana, because the service is A+ and worth the price, given that you have a private area to call home base, a bottle of your choice, and a platter of food that comes with it from 10a-6pm. Makes for a great day. Star Class gets a % discount on them as well, so don't miss out on that in the coupon book. The grounds were well marked, clean, and well-maintained. Staff were always working on something. Don't pay attention to the people that don't understand how seaweed works - the staff had machines out there 2-3 times a day to handle any seaweed concerns. Restaurants we tried were all very good, and the pool, spa and beach areas were all everything we expected. The only minor suggestion would be to have more of the top shelf liquor (Bourbon, etc) more readily available for Star Class members. You had to kind of search for it, and it's there, but maybe having it out in the open at more of the applicable bars. We might not do the Tulum excursion again, as it wound up taking nearly 10 hours, instead of the half day (due to picking up others, stops, and dropping people off). But that was the really, truly the only down side of the trip.

    Friends and family vacation

The rooms were great, Yomelly and Jerry were great butlers, Yomelly was able to accommodate all of my requests for dinners! Caesar was a great bartender at the star class pool. He made it a lot of fun. We were able to reserve a Cabana our last day. It was wonderful.

    Good, not great…

Post-Stay update: Returned home from 7-Night stay in building 14. 1) ATM machines are down and have been! I realize it should not be a practice to withdraw money when you are on site. However, we were not expecting a couple expenses that we chose while there. Assumed it would be easy enough to get cash. We assumed wrong! 2) The posts about stomach bug are real! Our 20yo daughterand her boyfriend both fell ill the night before we left. Unsure if it is the cyclospora…. Monitoring it with a little more caution today. 3) Once again, Mexican restaurant disappoints. Not just a PH thing. If you’re looking for authentic, i guess you need to leave resorts. 4) Dont automaticallydiscount the Prime Travelers Club presentation. We felt it was a very good deal and Wood have probably done it. Had it not been for a daughter in college. BONUS: we were able to negotiate (with the first presenter) a free cabana, two free 25 minute chair, massages, and 2/2 price 50 minute massages on the beach! Diana and Diego were very respectful sales people. Never felt pressure. 5) star class pools have kids… adult side has grown-ups playing like kids! Lol. Not a lot of relaxation found in the adult side. The only relaxing area is quite a ways from the pole bar. Just make friends with the servers. 6) Overall a very nice resort. Restaurants were good. Buffet is the best buffet we have ever eaten. Lots of options at the buffet! Workers are awesome, as every resort in Mexico has been. Probably ranks third or fourth on our list of resorts. Definitely worth the rate that we were able to book it at. Observations 3 days into a 7 night stay: 1) Many have said there are plenty on pool chairs. I cannot speak for Star class or family area, but adult side guests are claiming chairs at 6 am and there aren’t enough. Guests are going as far as getting towels out of the bags located behind the desk of the towel hut. Get there early! 2) Restaurants book quick. Get with your concierge or butler ASAP to get in. Our fam won’t get to enjoy hibachi or Italian because we tried to do it on the app and were too late. 3) It is a “fun” resort. The adult area is NOT a typical adult area we’ve visited in the past (ie, serenity). There are 3-day vacay’rs who are here to party! Expect it! 4) The people of Mexico do not care where you’re from. They are love. They do their job. They respect respect. Period. 5) I would come back. But it is not a top 5. Good food. Great people. Good pool. Decent accommodations.

🌴 Planet Hollywood Cancun: Star-Class Memories Worth Repeating!!

For our daughter’s senior trip before college, we wanted something festive and unforgettable, and Planet Hollywood Cancun absolutely delivered. We’d stayed shortly after it opened in 2021, so we returned with high hopes and upgraded to the Adult Scene Star Class. Totally worth it. 🎬 Arrival Vibes From the private entrance to welcome drinks and snacks, we felt like VIPs from the jump. Star Class came with a dedicated butler team, an absolute vacation hack. They took care of everything from dinner reservations to spa bookings and little surprises that made each day smoother. 🏖️ Cabana Chronicles We pre-booked two cabana days for $299 but scored a third onsite for just $239. Lesson learned: it’s best to wait and book splurges after arrival since there are often discounts. The cabanas were fully stocked with sodas, beer, and a top-shelf bottle of your choice (rum, tequila, vodka, or whiskey), plus an epic lunch platter. Shoutout to Jose whose mojitos and party energy made day one unforgettable. Day two delivered bougie bliss with Diet Pepsi on ice and towel pillows, while day three was quieter but still comfy. 🍴 Foodie Favorites and Wine Surprises Buffet breakfasts hit the spot, despite a broken frozen coffee machine at FUEL at first. Dinners wowed us, especially at Braza, Catch, Sutra, and East Teppanyaki SC. Catch and Braza are exclusive to Adult Scene guests, and Star Class perks like butler-made reservations helped us skip the waitlists. If you enjoy wine, you’ll love the sommelier experience. We treated ourselves to three nights and on our final evening, they recommended a wine not even listed on the menu. My husband declared it his favorite of the entire trip. It elevated the entire dinner without feeling formal or intimidating. 🛏️ Room Refresh Our room wasn’t the swim-out style we’d hoped for, but it was spacious, stylish, and cozy. Freshening up was easy, just flip the door sign to orange. One forgotten “Do Not Disturb” led to a sweet turn-down surprise after dinner that made us feel extra pampered. ✨ Highlights We Loved • Delicious food with great variety • Star Class perks, especially the butlers • Cabanas are 100% worth it (book onsite if possible) • Spa massages are reasonably priced • Hydro Therapy was a huge hit with the teens 🙃 A Few Flops • Drink menus weren’t always accurate, but servers helped navigate options • Top-shelf liquor wasn’t guaranteed unless requested • No bill-breaking onsite, so bring plenty of small pesos for tipping • Photo packages were overpriced ($20 each with no bundle option), our teens spent $170 on just 10 prints 🎉 Final Takeaway Planet Hollywood Cancun’s Adult Scene Star Class brought the perfect mix of luxury, fun, and family celebration. From mojitos in a cabana to sommelier wine surprises, this trip had flair and flavor. We would absolutely go back, next time with smaller bills, reusable cups to keep our drinks cold, and space in the budget for those onsite upgrades.

    Quince Celebration

Our family had an unforgettable time at Planet Hollywood Cancun! We were there to celebrate my daughter’s quinceañera, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. A huge thank you to our amazing party coordinator, Andrea—she made every detail of the event seamless and stress-free. Rebecca, who led the entertainment, brought so much energy and fun to the celebration. And the entire staff who helped set up, cater, and manage the party were so professional and kind. Thanks to this incredible team, my daughter had the best time celebrating her big day. Planet Hollywood made this once-in-a-lifetime event truly special for our entire family. We would highly recommend it for any big celebration! The only downside to our trip was the catamaran tour we booked directly through the resort. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet the expectations that were set. We were told the experience would run from 11 AM to 8 PM, but we didn’t even get on the boat until around 12 PM due to a late bus pickup and a long check-in process at the docking station. Even with the delayed start, we were brought back to the resort by 7 PM. It was disappointing to end early, especially since we were all enjoying ourselves. When we asked about the timing, the boat crew said they were following a different schedule and told us to take it up with the resort. I did reach out, but unfortunately never received a response. Based on this experience, I would not recommend booking excursions directly through the hotel. It's worth exploring third-party options for better communication and clearer expectations. That said, the rest of our stay—and especially the quinceañera celebration—was truly wonderful and something we’ll always remember!
