Housekeeping thieves—-beware!!!
I stayed at this amazing hotel for my daughter’s volleyball tournament. The hotel was great but the service ended up being expensive. Housekeeping decided they would steal my lululemon scuba and lululemon leggings and a white pair of ankle Nike socks. I reported this to the hotel as well as security. Filed a claim and was told that they’re not responsible for items taken under their care! Security who filed my claim even said this has happened before. That’s terrible customer service! I will NEVER have my room cleaned again and I will most likely never stay or trust another Marriott hotel again. All I was asking for was a replacement. These items were rolled up together in the bathroom next to my suitcase. The only items taken in entire room. It’s sickening and even more sickening that the hotel manager didn’t find a solution to act. That’s truly terrible management and a terrible hotel to be at if your stuff is not safe when it’s locked when you leave.

Great service and location of hotel
This Marriott is great and loxated in the middle of almost everything. Great restaurants around and walking distance to alot of places. I came here and chose this hotel for work for 5 weeks. Its not just a horel but they made me feel like I am home. Joann from the 13th restaurant was great and very friendly. Dennis and Michael on the 23th lounge were all great with taking care of us. I wouldnt be nore happy to stay all over again in this Marriott.

Standard Large Hotel with Standard Amenities
I was relatively pleased with my stay at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown. Pros 1. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Check in was a breeze and late check out was afforded to me. 2. The rooms were comfortable and the beds were comfortable. 3. The rooms were generally quiet. 4. The hotel fire alarm went off at 3 AM. Announcements were clear. We received a written apology by 430 AM and an extra 5000 points. The staff handled the potential emergency well. Cons 1. The valet parking is not cheap and there was no one there to greet you when you pulled up. They can be slow getting your car. 2. If you order coffee in the lobby bar mid afternoon, they just go to the little lobby store and buy it. There was no one around to pay - so you have to pay in the lobby store. The most significant issue was the projectors in the conference rooms. They appear to be old and my new laptop would not display. The tech staff did their best but it was alarming when one tech support person said "we've been having trouble with these all week." They switched cables and projectors with no luck. I finally had to borrow a laptop from someone in the audience but, since that laptop did not have the specialized software I needed on it, my presentation was essentially ruined. To note, if you follow the tech support directions in the conference room, no one comes. I had to go find someone. That said, all the staff went above and beyond.

Never Again.
Not much good to say about this property. Problem after problem with simple things at this hotel. Asked question via chat, given information and the question was not addressed. Re-asked the question and given a smart alec reply. Discussed with Manager who defended the rudeness of the employee. Tried to have dinner in the Thirteen restaurant only to "not be greeted" by the server, then it went down hill: he even mumbled things at me under his breath! Wow, no words. More rudeness ensued the next morning in the Concierge Lounge so I decided to leave early. Was told that i would be billed for the next night stay (early departure)... What? This is the first time in 31 years of staying at Marriott's I have encountered this. So, i asked to speak to a manager and her reply was "I will be glad to make an exception for you this one time!". Again, no words, she acted as if she was doing me a huge favor after I explained all of my negative encounters. The apathy at Marriott is rampant. Instead of correcting the problems (how to interact with guests) they cover it up with "let me give you some points"! The points are almost useless. In the last 3 years the (so called) rewards program has been decimated and only 1/4 of the pre covid value. Enough said, Beware, don't stay here.

Great Hotel with Conference Rooms adjoining Convention Center
We spent 4 days here for a conference with this Marriott that connects with the Philadelphia Convention center. The Marriott offers a hands free by touch pad entry door and movement activated touch free revolving doors. Check in is at standard checkin and Marriott premium checkin. The lobby hold a lounge with stair and ramp accesses. The lounge furniture is large and comfy within the full bar area. The lobby also holds Center city Market with an array of single size and sharing size snacks, most impressive to me popcorn. Bottled CicaCola® products, 3 versions of cold brews with photo guide on tap along with macarons and chocolate cake slices. The numerous meeting rooms are shown on a map in the lobby. The rooms are numbered or organized by name like the Franklin Rooms. Conference rooms are carpeted to fascilate acoustics. All meeting rooms on all 5 floors have easy accessibilty. Mens and women's restrooms have dedicated wheelchair access stall with 2 grab bars and adequate space with hands free hand wash Hotel rooms are clean, spacious and modern with amenities Large screen TV with in room coffee and tea service Excellent housekeeping here Accessible parking at $60 per day via valet. Great set up for meetings of our group of over 8,000
