Can't beat the location and this is a good 3* hotel
The zoo is across one street. The beach is across another. The aquarium is just down the street. Both the ocean and Diamond Head can be viewed from the balcony depending on which room you choose. On the other hand they could stand to keep the loby coffee available 24 hours - it's just in the morning - and Lulu's Restaurant really needs to upgrade its staffing. Their execution was awful. But you can go to other reastaurants very close by and get excellent service. This is most definitely a 3* hotel so don't expect the standards you'd get at a higher rated hotel. But the staff was excellent and nobody had their hand out!

Views from a quieter side of Waikiki
We booked our stay at Park Shore Waikiki through Booking.com. It was our first visit to Hawaii via a 14 day cruise from French Polynesia. We used Uber to get us from the Honolulu Cruise Port to the Park Shore Waikiki. Very fast and convenient. We arrived at 10 AM, well before the normal check in time. We were greeted almost immediately by Matthew, the General Manager. He was most gracious and wanted to know more about us. He was genuinely interested in our comfort. We were delighted to find out that a room was already available and could check in immediately. Our room was clean, comfortable and had an unobstructed view of Diamondhead and beautiful Waikiki Beach. Also this location is in a less crowded section of Waikiki called Kuhio Beach. Surfers, body boarders and sand abounded! Amenities included complimentary beach gear from a neighboring rental company. We utilized the pool deck which also overlooks the beach. The Honolulu Zoo is located right across the street which made for a nice three hour bit of walking taking in all the animals. There are so many restaurant choices within walking distance, it was hard to decide which to choose. There is a convenience store adjacent to the property that had snacks, alcohol and souvenirs. If you are looking for a nice place to stay on a quieter end of the beach, we recommend you check out Park Shores Waikiki.

Vacation with a friend
Overall the hotel was very good and clean, with attentive staff. However the room was a little dated. I enjoyed Lulus restaurant and the view of the beach at happy hour. The air conditioning was a bit noisy but welcome. I would stay here again, with its central location.

Wonderful Time!
Great location! We had a fabulous view of the ocean and Diamond Head from our balcony. It is within walking distance to restaurants, stores, the Honolulu Zoo, and delicious shaved ice! The staff were courteous and responsive. The room was very clean, There were hygiene products such as body wash, body lotion, shampoo and conditioner that I found excellent! The brand name is "Ula". I was amazed that the shampoo and conditioner made my hair fuller and very soft. The body wash and body also made my skin soft and had a nice scent. There is a bar and grill on the 2nd floor which serves delicious cheese burgers and good drinks. The service was quick and the atmosphere relaxing.

Very happy with our stay at Park Shore Waikiki
The rooms are nice and the location is perfect. It is located right by the beach, but there is also a pool at the hotel with a nice view. The staff and manager were so kind and friendly, and we would not want to stay anywhere else for future travels then at Park Shore Waikiki.
