Hotel overview

Luxury is personal at Park Hyatt New York. Designed by world-renowned, Pritzker Prize-winning architect Christian de Portzamparc, as well as interior design firm Yabu Pushelberg, guests enter an uncommon space where sophisticated and enriching experiences are in store. Situated in the heart of midtown, Park Hyatt New York, will be located at 153 West 57th street between Avenue of the Americas and Seventh Avenue, across from Carnegie Hall and two blocks from Central Park. The hotel will feature 210 generously sized guest rooms including 62 suites. Its guest rooms are among the largest in the city, starting from 475 square feet or 44 square meters. The hotel will be part of a 90-story mixed-use tower that will also feature 94 Thomas Juul-Hansen-designed luxury condominiums with breathtaking views of Central Park and the New York skyline. The world-class hotel will reflect Park Hyatts intimate and modern elegance, providing an ideal place to stay for discerning business and leisure travelers. Guests will choose Park Hyatt for the most personal of reasons: the service at Park Hyatt New York will make every individual feel welcome, like a sanctuary from the outside world. Normally cumbersome registration and arrival transactions will turn into pleasurable acquaintances that inform the entire quality of a visit. Entering the rooms or public spaces, a visitor recognizes the artistic codes of mid-century-modern New York, but updated in a timeless welcome. Says Glenn Pushelberg, "the room design is modern in its architectural bones, but with a slight nod to the past. The mix of furniture and furnishings suggests an eclectic and residential mood which transcends strict modernity." Beyond featuring museum-quality artwork, timeless designs and refined furnishings, a spectacular culinary experience and the most luxurious spa treatments will impress even the most savvy New Yorker. The hotel will feature a world-class restaurant befitting the New York culinary scene,

    Decent Hotel

Pros This hotel is in a great location, rooms are nice, the iPad to order works well, staff is nice and they walk u up to your room. Cons The hotel is expensive, the waiters in the breakfast area weren't that helpful, other hotel has much better pool and gym. Overall this was a great stay and a great experience but I would come back and it is a clean hotel.

    Luxury Is Not Personal Anymore

We stayed at this property for our anniversary over NYE 2017 and it was magical! Service was fantastic, room was amazing; it became the hotel to which we compare all other hotels to. Our stay in February 2020 was much less impressive. As Globalists, we were automatically assigned a premium non-suite room when there were plenty of standard suites available. I wonder: do the staff at the hotel think I am unaware of my Globalist benefits? Had to request a standard suite which is always awkward. Our room was very unimpressive and lacked natural sunlight. There was a hole in the ceiling and the windows were dirty. There was no welcome note or amenity offered from the staff. We were quite disappointed and expected more from the property. One thing we remember from our original stay in 2017 was how incredible the breakfast was, which was part of the reason we chose to come back. It was everything we imagined. We were very pleased to see that F&B has stayed at the same standard as set years ago. I would encourage other Globalists to consider the Andaz 5th Avenue when making their decision to stay in NYC.

    New York Weekend

Great location, really good Japanese breakfast. Workout room was spacious and had Peloton. Room was medium sized. Fantastic shower room with room for two. Valet service for car was quick as long as you received your car on 58th St. 57th St delivery took an extra 30 minutes.

    Nice room, average service

Room is very spacious for NYC standards. Bathroom is huge, with separate toilet, rain shower, and freestanding tub. Quite noisy from the other guests. Service is subpar for a 5 star hotel. We've experienced better hospitality from hotels with less stars. We were not readily greeted upon arrival, and did not figure out that the lobby was upstairs until we asked someone at the podium. We were both carrying heavy bags in both arms, in addition to a leashed puppy, yet no one offered to help. They did offer us a bed and dog bowl upon check-in, which was appreciated. Convenient location right below Central Park. Times Square is in walking distance, along with some great restaurants. Overall it was an average stay, doesn't feel worth the price paid.
