Plenty of paradise
My first time visiting this location and I was impressed. Some of the amenities are a bit more basic than described and the cost of additional activities isn't cheap but I wouldn't say it was over priced compared to competitors and in the right frame of mine, I'd probably pay for it. Clean, friendly staff and lovely setting this resort is all you could ask for. The only issue we had in our stay was it appeared there was one servicing the room whilst we were out, dispite the resort costs. That said, we aren't exactly dirty and weren't staying for a huge amount of time, just one to consider for the resort company.

Stress Free Experience
My wife and I came down here for a 3 Day Visit after Memorial Day, this was perfect. We needed to escape from the chaos of whatever and found solace. It is suitable for all, ages and while it seems pricey it is not, if you don’t over indulge etc. A great place to relax, and slow things down. Unbelievable you can get that in California. Anyway the rooms are not perfect, but carefully planned and made comfortable. Thank you. The resort is well laid out. Yes there is Public Access to the beach but it is a Maze for unregistered guest to find it. Everything you need is provided. The food is actually surprisingly good. If you can find a better value around here that beats that. I’d like to know. What impressed me is it’s NOT a party out of control scene. I noticed the Security is tight, but not intrusive. When I arrived the check in process was painless. Impressive overall.

Too many fees. Facility showing it's age. Not recommended due to $$$$.
Not recommended for the price. Will not be returning. They charge for you to park in front of your hotel room! Bedlinens were definitely old, pilled sheets. Mattresses were also old. Bicycle rental was $12/hr. Housekeeping needs to be requested.. They will not come at all unless you ask. And then they come at 5pm. I was there for a convention and the total per day room price was almost $400/night! Too much for a resort like this. Facility was built in 1962. It has some cool, funky architecture but is definitely showing it's age. Two things were great... The food at the convention center was fantastic! And they have a GREAT staff! Very friendly and helpful. The Mission Point area is beautiful and there are other places to stay. I suggest you check them out instead of this one.

Beware of Bed Bugs!
The grounds are nice. We couldn’t really enjoy the walking trails because each time we tried we had close encounters with getting pooped on from the birds in the trees. The restaurants were good and we enjoyed hanging out by the pool after our work conference. The second morning I woke up I noticed what I thought was a spider bite on my arm. From that point forward, each morning I would wake up with more and more red itchy bumps on different parts of my legs, arms, and torso. By the end of my stay the bites were everywhere which made me think maybe I was developing an allergic reaction to something. Got the ‘rash’ checked out when I got home and was told they are BED BUG BITES! Called the resort immediately to notify them. At first they tried to blame it on the airline because I flew home. When that narrative didn’t pan out (since it started well before my flight home) they said there have never been confirmed bed bug cases and suggested sand fleas. I did google them after the fact and saw TONS of complaints of bed bugs. They said they would call a pest control place to look at the room and take the room out of service. Their response was pretty rehearsed and the gal didn’t seem phased at all by the report which makes me suspicious that this happens quite often.

Beautiful Resort, Exceptional Service, and a Memorable Stay!
Paradise Point is in a stunning location, with well-maintained grounds and clean, modern rooms. The staff throughout the resort were excellent, but special thanks to Samantha at the front desk—she went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We also enjoyed a great meal and drinks at the on-site Barefoot Bar & Grill. Overall, we loved our stay and will definitely be returning!
