Check-in Policy: Upon check in, the hotel requires payment of all resort fees plus a per day deposit on a credit/debit card in the guest’s name for incidentals. Upon your departure, the deposit will be released (less any charges to your room) to your credit card within 2 business days, or credited to your debit card. Please allow 5-10 business days for your issuing bank to apply refunds back to your debit card.

Can be rowdy but nicely renovated
Palms was somewhat rowdy when I visited (i.e. a lot of younger drunk people) on a Friday night, because the club was in operation at that time. However, it has been really nicely renovated, and for someone who likes to check out off-strip or near-strip casinos, I felt that it offered a nice experience. The Station Players card also provides a discount at the Buffet, and there were plenty of new slot machines. The food court was kind of weird (i.e. kind of a low rent food court located very prominently/visibly in the middle of the length of the casino slot floor). I also highly recommend taking a taxi to/from here back to the strip at night (i.e. the walk is a bit sketchy in parts). However, all in all I enjoyed my visit here and thought this a nice facility.
Everything It Says That It Is
There has been much hype about The Palms since its refurbishment. My wife and I stayed for 14 nights and enjoyed every minute except 1. As part of our booking we believed were were to receive a total of 4 complimentary buffets..just 2 each. A breakfast and dinner buffet. After an extremely pleasant and easy check-in I inquired about the comp buffets but the receptionist knew nothing about it and asked we return in a couple of hours and she would have the details. Upon returning the receptionist was no longer on duty and no one knew anything about our request or actually wanted to ask or find out. I just got the feeling they felt dealing with the free buffets was beneath them. That aside our room a "Fantasy Tower Executive King Room" was truly amazing. And the best thing, the room and bathroom was spotlessly clean. I cant tell you enough how relaxing it was at the end of the day knowing we were returning to our room. I can honestly say the room was exceptional and housekeeping of a very very high standard. The casino itself has a great layout with some great up to date slots and we felt there was no need to gamble anywhere else. The bar "Unknown" on the casino floor is a great way to people watch and have a relaxing drink in a great atmosphere. As for places to eat I refused to pay for the buffet as the no show comp buffets left a sour taste in my mouth. The worst thing is I have heard good things about the buffet and as a buffet lover I regret not trying it out but I had felt cheated. We did try Side Piece Pizza and found this to be a good quality meal at a very reasonable price. They also have a small food court called the Eatery and this has a selection of food outlets to try. Again I want to highlight how clean and welcoming these areas are. The palms casino is very close to Rio and Goldcoast casinos and makes it easy for a walk out of an evening. As for walking to the strip , we found this very easy and it is about a 20 minute walk but Uber is again an option. So as a couple we visit LV every year for 14 nights and love to try different hotels. We will be returning again to LV. I recommend for anyone to try the Palms as it is an excellent hotel and casino. As for me I wanted to stay again but yes you have got it...the comp buffet hurt enough for me to look elsewhere.
MONEY STOLEN, MANAGEMENT USELESS, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I stayed at the Palms and had money stolen out of my room. I reported it to the staff and I am not exaggerating, they could not have cared any less. When you are spending that type of money on a hotel, the least you could get is an i'm sorry. They sent me through hoops talking to all these different people and not a single person I spoke to could help. I understand that you have to follow procedures but the least you could do is comp one of the night stays. Nope! I couldn't even get a manager on the phone. Every time I asked to speak to a manager I was told there wasn't one around, or that person can't help, or I'll have them call you back. I have never felt so disrespected by an establishment in all my life. DO NOT GO HERE. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Spend your money on a hotel who cares about their guests and actually empowers their employees to help instead of everyone just saying it’s not their problem. It is too bad because I was going to recommend this place to my friends, now I will boycott and make sure everyone in my family and friends does also. WORST EXPERIENCE!
I was in my bedroom and I heard a noise coming from the living area, so I walk over and found a guy walking around. I asked who he was and he claimed to be taking inventory of the snacks. He claimed he knocked but there is no way. I had no TV or radio on. He didn't even apologize. He stated, well I'm here so I'm going to take inventory. I called the front desk. I thought they were going to comp my room. But when checking out the claimed he said he knocked. I was given nothing for this. He obviously was in a hurry to get his job done or maybe going to take things. Not sure, I feel this was a big invasion of my privacy and they made it look like this is normal. I still plan on bringing this up to Steven Thompson CEO of Zilis. Maybe others had similar issues.
What a nice surprise
We didn't stay here, but we had such a good time and positive impression of the casino, we will stay here during our next visit to Vegas. We came for the Billy Idol concert and enjoyed dinner at Mabel's while there. Our impression of the Palms? New, modern, clean, and open. The oppressive smoke and overwhelming noise you'll find at a lot of casinos wasn't bad here. In fact, we didn't even notice the smoke. There's a really impressive selection of restaurants, though we do highly recommend trying Mabel's.
