    A quiet jewel

Amidst this pandemic, we were a bit nervous to go through with this vacation planned earlier in the year. The grounds are beautiful, located right on the ocean! The swimming pool was well maintained, although it is showing some wear. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and could be seen cleaning the elevators, lounge chairs, tables and hallways and never was any trash or linens that guests left outside rooms for removal or exchange left to sit in the hallways. All staff wore their masks ALWAYS and used hand sanitizer frequently. Unfortunately, the same level of respect and concern for others was not shown by many of the guests. ☹️. Many wore their masks below their noses (why bother wearing one at all?!?) or NOT AT ALL even though there were signs EVERYWHERE requesting guests to wear them and the valet staff reminded everyone if they got out of their cars without one. I don’t know everyone’s names, but I do want to mention Bloudy at the front desk, and Jean at the bellman stand, as well as every staff member we came in contact with for their cheerful, helpful attitude. The room was comfortable and had views of the beach from the bedroom and the balcony and living room. Our sliding glass door to the balcony was extremely hard to open and from the balcony, because there isn’t a separate handle, it was almost impossible for me to open. I called for maintenance and they came immediately. The gentleman was able to make some improvements and told us all the sliders were scheduled to be replaced. It wasn’t enough of a problem to call him back even though he assured us we should call if we still needed him. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioner kept us well cooled. We did a lot of cooking in the unit to avoid going to a lot of restaurants and found it easy to do. Unfortunately, the dishwasher did not do a satisfactory job cleaning even though I scrubbed each dish and coffee mug before putting them in it. I told them at the front desk as we were leaving. They were apologetic and immediately were on the phone with maintenance to have it and the room safe (which we had had maintenance fix the first day we arrived but then it stopped working again 2 days later) serviced. I was just having too much fun to be bothered with them during our stay. We had dinner at their onsite restaurant, The Island Grill, but neither my husband’s lobster dinner nor my blackened snapper had much flavor. Our server was cheerful and efficient and very apologetic. I think the restaurant may have just recently reopened due to the pandemic so we just chalked it up to an off night. Overall, it was a relaxing and comfortable vacation!

    Beach Life

Updated rooms; clean; right on the beach with a secluded pool area. Very pleasant staff. Parking is very tight and unloading/loading takes quite a bit of time and patience. Great fishing - either in a charter (highly recommend Captain Tony of the Showtime Charter!) or off the walkway at the nearby park.

    Awesome Resort!

We decided to give this resort a try after finding a slamming deal. We were not disappointed. Although an older resort, the rooms were comfortable and having a separate sleeping area was awesome. The front desk upgraded us to a ocean view room which was really nice! The Tiki bar was our favorite hangout and the birds are beautiful although loud lol! The food was what really surprised us.... DELICIOUS! And the prices were really good! We will be back!

Great property and great location! with Superb Beach

We stayed here the last week in August. Friendly personnel, great location near everything. Great restaurants within walking distance. Publix 5 minutes away. The assigned unit was on the 2nd floor, unit 220 with a pool view. The property is very clean and we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.

    Awesome visit !

We just spent a week here thru an RCI exchange . We took our son and his friend so we booked 2-1 bedrooms. They arranged it so the rooms were connecting . I read a lot about this resort before we went ; hopefully this review will help balance some of the things you may have read . Beach - the beach was awesome ; the water is super clear and we didn’t have any issues at all with seaweed (someone said this happens mostly after a storm ). There are chairs and umbrellas you can rent but there is plenty of beach access of you choose not to do this . It’s a short walk from the resort to the water and they have towels available for check out right before the gate . Food - we really enjoyed the food ! We are the chicken nachos and the buffalo wings almost every day . We also had Stromboli and pizza . The food is good ! We would have had dinner in the restaurant but there were many other places we wanted to check out . Joel (bartender) and Ryan (poolside service) were standouts . Room - yes the resort is a little dated but the bed was super comfy. Bathroom was large . Shower was a small stall style but not the end of the world . We didn’t cook any meals in our room but heated up lots of leftovers from dinners . Overall we really loved this resort ; we liked it MUCH better than the Marriott Ocean Pointe down the way that we stayed at several years ago previously . Stay here ; don’t think you’ll be disappointed . Drinks are strong , food is delish and it’s the shortest walk to the singer island restaurants along the way .
