Apr 22, 2025Sexually Assaulted by Staff Outside My Bungalow
Was having the trip of a lifetime until I was sexually assaulted by a waiter outside my bungalow. No offer from resort management to move rooms or comp my stay. $10k vacation ruined and left me completely traumatized. I'm so hurt by the lack of response from the resort. I was told he would be fired but they never confirmed or followed up with me. It's awful, because I really was having the most wonderful time before all this. It was my first child-free vacation in 10 years and a gift to myself after suffering from grief and divorce. But now I am even more stressed than before. People need to know that this isn't the perfect paradise it pretends to be. You aren't safe here.

I've been to many over water bungalows and this by far is the best. First the service is second to any of them, Yasser, Alberto, Aldo were extremely helpful. Everyone from the wait staff to the gardeners were phenomenal. The Accommodations were amazing not to mention the proximity to the U.S made it perfect

Our New Favorite Resort!
We stayed at Palafitos Overwater Bungalows and it was absolutely the best! The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to ALL requests. The bungalows were better than I imagined and what I saw online and the food and drinks were all top notch! Alberto, Pilar and Aimee took great care of us and we will DEFINITELY be returning sooner than later.

An incredible experience
Every detail was incredible, it was truly one of the best vacations we’ve ever experienced, if not the best. Alberto, Fernando, and Enrique were there whenever we needed anything and were so helpful and kind. They took care of every detail for us and we were able to just relax which was amazing. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Amazing massage with Liliana
While I always love our visits to the amazing Palafitos, I wanted to pop on TripAdvisor to say how amazing my massage was at Naay Spa. Liliana instinctively knew exactly what to do - where to spend extra time, where to be gentle. It was a truly therapeutic massage. Ask for her when you visit El Dorado Maroma or Palafitos!
