Wonderful Staff
My husband and I stayed at the Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber during our vacation to celebrate 20 years of marriage. We had such an amazing time. I can not say enough about the wonderful staff. Our first encounter with Allyzsa kicked off our stay. She was incredibly sweet and helpful. After hearing it was our anniversary we came back to a room with complimentary champagne, robes and slippers. A very nice surprise. Each time we encountered her she was always a delight and most helpful. I needed to complete a work task but did not bring my laptop. My phone was not sufficient and I needed a desktop computer. Kristina came to my rescue. While the hotel did not have a public computer for me to use Kristina allowed me to stand next to her while she did all of the typing. This action helped complete a donation request for my nonprofit that was only available for 24 hours. She may have helped me secure an auction donation valued over $5000. These two staff members made our trip memorable. We are so happy to have chosen the Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber for our stay.

Very Nice Waikiki Stay
Pros: -Location, location, location: Centrally located on Kalakaua Avenue. Easily access shops, restaurants, tours, etc. without a car. Beach is also located across the street - takes about 5 min door to door -Room decor: Very clean, up to date, and cute room. Wifi was also very fast and you could stream on the hotel's TV. The partial oceanview room had a great view of Waikiki and the Sheraton + Royal Hawaiian hotels. -No resort fee: The hotel often has rates where the resort fee is waived - this made me book rather than another hotel (which had a lower nightly rate but would have been more expensive after factoring in the pricy resort fee) -Convenience: restaurant & bar onsite, convenience store onsite (very expensive) has everything you may have forgotten, easily get towels for the beach via a vending machine on the lobby level -Water bottle: The hotel provides an empty metal water bottle upon check-in. They do not provide plastic bottled water, but there's a fill station in the lobby and ice machines on each floor. Cons: -Small pool: Be mindful if this is a priority (though the beach is very close by) -Service: Mediocre service. Was barely acknowledged at check-in, and employees at the Aroma Caffe weren't the friendliest. The bellman/valet was very friendly though. -Limited ability to use vouchers: My room package came with 2 alcoholic drinks per day and breakfast. Drink vouchers were limited and misleading. Breakfast hours may be unavailable if you have an early morning tour, etc. Would stay here again & recommend it if you want a boutique-style hotel experience in Waikiki.

Not very good for the cost
I choose this hotel as an alternative to outrigger waikiki beach resort. It was not a good choice, despite being on the 21st floor you hear a lot of street noise especially from the bar downstairs. I didn’t find the staff very helpful or friendly versus the outrigger waikiki beach. The shower over the bath was very small and narrow. I would not stay here again
