Great place to stay , excellent location
The room was super clean and it was so easy to access the beach. They only have valet parking, but it ended up being very convenient as we could just drop off our car after a long day and be in our room within a minute or two. Our two girls swam at the beach at night time-there were two lights on top of the hotel building which nicely illuminated the water, The only thing that nearly deducted one star was that there were no water filling stations. The hotel provided two plastic bottles in the room, but with Hawaii being overloaded with plastic waste, there should be filtered water stations provided (as I had seen at other hotels).
Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort is a great place to stay. Labor Day 2021.
You read this a lot on reviews that not a person to normally submit a review. However, I did read reviews on this hotel before booking. So I felt compelled to submit to help others make their decision. I am a real person and tourist that recently stayed at Outrigger Waikiki Beach over 2021 Labor Day weekend for first time. It is a great hotel with excellent location and amenities. During this time of COVID all staff wore masks and hotel was clean. The value of this hotel was super in relation to location on Waikiki and compared to other nearby hotels.
Great stuff, amazing location, old hotel
I stayed in the Outrigger for 1 week in one of the ocean view rooms (on the 12th floor). The room was really big and the view was just stunning, overlooking the ocean, the beach, as well as Diamond Head. It's the best location you can think of, close to everything and anything. The stuff was extremely nice and helpful, always smiling and giving advises. Advantages: - great location - specious rooms - lovely service - balconies Disadvantages: - the rooms are very old and dated.. they keep them clean but between an old couch and carpet I didn't fell 100% comfortable especially with the price that you're paying - the bathroom is very dark and you barely see anything while taking a shower - valet is expensive (40$ per day) - there's no beach service for hotel guests. If you want to use beach chairs/umbrellas, there's nothing that the hotel offers. you need to reserve it with some beach services (suuuper expensive).. you will only get a towel - the "Fitness center/gym" is very disappointing. as if it was taken straight from 1980'. Small, dirty, not worth it. better do your workout outdoor. Overall my stay was nice but for the price that you're paying, you'd expect more 'extras' than just a location. Unfortunately nothing 'luxurious' about it.
Real Waikiki experience !
My recent stay at the Outrigger Waikiki was fabulous. Still the in the center of the action and with great, clean rooms and hallways.. classic Waikiki vibes with updated amenities and an amazing staff.. Loved every minute. Everyone was fabulous there.. the pool was great - the food was great.. and lobby was a pleasure - still the best in town!
Excellent customer service from the bell service staff to housekeeping this hotel offers exceptional service. Our room was very clean and well decorated. We definitely appreciated the extra effort the Outrigger delivered in order to make our stay wonderful.
