Awesome value right on Waikiki Beach!!
We came back here after our first visit in 2019. We love this hotel for the location and the price. You walk out the lobby- past a nice swimming pool and you are right on Waikiki Beach!! Rooms are slighty dated but extremely clean and comfortable. We had a partial oceanview room on the top (16th) floor and it was awesome. Check in was quick and our room was ready early! We ate at Duke's restaurant and it was wonderful but pricey. We will continue to return to this property for its location and value.
The beach area is extremely small !! The hotel is currently undergoing major renovations and the exterior and entrance as well as most lobby is boarded up. The elevators have no A/C and there was only 2 elevators available which made the wait for them a bit especially w limited capacity in elevators due to Covid. The pool has no beach view. Most rooms have to beach view.
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
There is a lot to love about this hotel: the location, the beach, Hula Grill. The bell services were very helpful and they always got me to where I wanted to go. Pool service was extremely disappointing ( I went six straight days without anyone asking me if I wanted anything. On the seventh day, someone asked me and I was more than happy to order food and drinks.) Concierge service was a zero. I called numerous times and never connected with anyone. In short, great location, clean rooms, but some of the service was well below satisfactory.
The hotel staff was very friendly and I loved the fact we’re in the middle and of everything. The location is perfect and the hotel is very modern. The beach can get a little crowded but once the sun goes down, the crowd will disburse. Try to stay one the side of you can, totally worth it
Will find all kinds of wedding parties taking their pictures around here! Beautiful. They also offer tours which are wonderful! We went and you must look around at all the special memorabilia! It is a historic place!
