Don’t miss the Outrigger!
I don’t think you’ll find a better resort anywhere on Kona. Outrigger has everything you could want on a vacation. I would live here if I could - it’s that good. From the first few minutes when I arrived I knew I was in for an elevated experience. The staff I encountered were amazing - everyone from bellhops and custodians to the bar staff and concierge desk. I only stayed for 4 nights but many of them got to know me and greeted me by name each time I saw them and stopped what they were doing to ask me how my vacation was. If anything was less than perfect, they saw to fixing it quickly. The room was clean and well apportioned. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The lanais and true blackout curtains really make a difference for those long nights and late mornings on vacation. I’ve stayed in many, many hotels in my life and I can say with absolute certainty that I’ve never slept as well in a hotel as I did at the Outrigger. I loved the manta ray deck too, although I didn’t get to see a ray. The sunsets from that deck are postcard worthy even on cloudy days. My Costco package got me a discounted Voyager 47 pass even though I wasn’t in an oceanfront room. Voyager elevated a great stay to an excellent one and is very much worth the price of admission. Special shoutout to Sharlaine, Tessa, and the whole V47 crew - they were awesome. Truly class acts and assets to this wonderful resort. V47 was the icing on the cake of an excellent stay, and IMO it’s absolutely worth the price of admission if you stay around the resort and don’t fancy paying $50+ for dinner and drinks per person every night. This was my first stay at an Outrigger resort but definitely won’t be my last. I don’t know when I’ll be back to Kona, but I know Outrigger will always be high on my list when my travels take me places they have properties. It’s just the right amount of luxury at just the right price, and I truly appreciate the team behind the place that make Outrigger what it is. Bravo.

Conference-Ironman-relaxing
Came here for the Ironman Medical Conference and to relax. The conference facility was great! Clean, spacious, easy accessible and great snacks, etc. We stayed in the Mauka wing on the 5th floor, partial ocean view facing the basketball courts. Really lovely room, with lots of space and very clean. The bed was too soft and a bit lumpy for me, but my bf said it was fine. The shampoo/conditioner/shower gel was all slightly scented and seemed pretty high quality for a hotel, which was really appreciated. The pools are both also lovely. There’s an adult pool with a nice waterfall and close access to the outdoor bar. Unfortunately, you can’t really see the ocean from this one. The family side, has a nice, sandy zero entry for the kiddos, two hot tubs, ocean view and a fun water slide! Even though we didn’t come with kids, I stayed on that side because it was just more fun. The staff comes by regularly to get drink/food orders, hand out pineapple, water, etc. Highlights: Manta viewing deck (yes, you can see them from the actual hotel) Pool Spacious and clean room Perks-Farmers market, pickleball, paddle board, snorkel gear, activities (I enjoyed the yoga overlooking the bay), and public access to the bay. Overall, would highly recommend staying at this Hawaiian owned property that appears to be upgrading little by little.

Voyager 47 Club Lounge
We stayed for 4 nights. Our room came with Club lounge breakfast & Evening appetizers. We attended everyday. The food was great & the staff very friendly. Shout out to Emiel who went over & beyond to accommodate us each morning. He made our experience much more memorable. Fred was also amazing as well. The staff in the evening were great too! I'm glad we included this offer.
