I give it 2 stars
This is an old hotel, and surface renovations cannot hide that fact - the rooms are small, dark, and dingy. We bought our stay here on Priceline and it was rated 4 star. Absolutely false advertising - it is more of a Motel 6 motel type accommodation, definitely not worth $188 US. Bathrooms are very small, tubs have been replaced with a walk-in shower which is nice. There is no vanity, only a sink, so no place to put any personal items. The best thing about the place is that they do have nice bath products. The front desk staff is extremely unhelpful, almost to the point of being rude, and certainly don't know how to smile. We requested two wine glasses for our room and were advised that only suites can have wine glasses??!! Balconies are only separated by a short railing so there is no privacy and absolutely no security - somebody can easily hop over the railing, Even though the hotel is right on the beach, you have to pay for chairs and umbrellas to use on the beach (about $40 for a couple). Even though the hotel is on the beach and the rooms have balconies, they are on the sides of the building - so the views are of the parking lot or building next door. In summary - DO NOT STAY here!
Older Hotel - Great Pool & Beach
This hotel is way over priced for what you get. The pool, hot tub and beach are beautiful. The rooms are like Motel 6 at best. They have done some remodels of the bathrooms since I was there last but not worth the money. We had breakfast the next morning..... Me, Wife & Brother.... $52 total.... not even any free coffee! The beds they advertise as queen were comfortable enough but not much larger than a full size. We will try to find something else when in the area next time.
DO NOT WASTE MONEY HERE
Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Terrible customer service, terrible amenities. Did not even provide free water to guests. Do not waste your time and money here. Extremely disappointing. You are better off paying a little more somewhere else and actually feel like a hotel guest.
If only we would have had any nice weather this would have been a great time. The staff were very friendly. The hotel is very clean. Beautiful views from our balcony it was just too windy. The beach is great. Nice pool and tiki bar. There is lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. The only thing I didn’t like is how thin the walls are. You can hear everything in the room next to us oh and bed and pillows weren’t the best. I would still recommend the hotel though.
Motel 6 at Ritz price
Recently stayed for funeral service. Rooms on discounted multi room booking $300 per night, parking $20 per day (self park a block away was also $20 per day). The valet service was excellent. Front desk and management disappointing. Rooms were supposed to be 2 queen beds; they were full size beds. Rooms were extremely small. Bathroom was tight. Shower was not big enough to turn around in. Toilet abutting shower door. Toilet reminded me of a pump lever marine head. Sink drain was slow. Balcony had a peek a boo view of ocean. Primary view was parking lot and hotel bedrooms next door. We paid for a catered banquet. The food was inedible and the closest bathrooms were back in the lobby. I grew up in this city. There are at least 50 hotels on the beach with better amenities. The only way I would go back ims if it were my funeral
