Great Vacation at Oceans Riviera Paradise
Wow we had an absolutely amazing time at this resort. We travelled as a couple and stayed in the Eden building. Check in was fast and we loved our room. Our housekeeping attendant was Ana and she did an amazing job keeping the room nice and clean. The staff in the buffet were friendly with a special mention to Abraham. A friendly, hard working young man. I would also like to mention the very kind, friendly , staff in the Italian restaurant. The beach was rocky by the resort so we used the beach at the resort on the left. It was a beautiful sandy beach. The water was like bath water. I sure am missing it. I loved the natural beauty of the resort. Seeing the animals each day was a highlight of my trip. We didn't do any excursions because the weather was beautiful and we enjoyed staying at the resort. We weren't bothered by the time share people and staff did not ask us to write a review on Trip Advisor.

Fantastic week!
Great all inclusive resort for our first visit to Mexico. Food, drinks and rooms all good with super friendly staff. Lots of walking from the beach to the many pools and handy choices of restaurants. Motor carts for those that don’t want to walk. Happy travels!

Beach ocean swimming poor, rocks and dirty water Walkways have many uneven pavers several in our group tripped, long narrow property so lots of walking Romantic beach dinner was right beside a wedding event?? Feels like you really are in paradise.
The customer service, food and beverages were 5 star. The resort was very clean. There was endless food and beverage options available. This was our second year staying at the resort. It is a great resort for couples, and families of all ages. Love the restaurants, swim up bars and Mike's coffee. The beach is not great, quite a bit of seaweed, steep incline into the water and rocky, but for those that like the ocean view and sand, they have a pool right by the ocean.

Needs improvement but an overall enjoyable stay
My partner and I stayed at the ocean riviera Paradiso in El Beso for a week in Nov 24. I will say I was nervous to arrive having read some of the reviews on here but we had very few complaints. Our AC worked perfectly and we didn’t notice any of the mould / damp smell as reported in some of the other reviews, it smells like a tropical climate, sure but that’s expected. The timeshare presentation is easy to avoid if you just say no thank you when they ask to talk to you about your welcome package. They weren’t pushy at all. Same goes for the guys selling excursions around the pool. The food overall was very good (not everything was to our personal taste but that’s to be expected) and the drinks were great across the resort. However, I will mention that you need to use your common sense in the buffet. One of the refrigerated areas especially was not cold enough and had fish / sushi in on some evenings, to the point that it was attracting flies. This needs to be addressed immediately. The main thing that let this resort down for us was the quality of housekeeping. We did get our room made up daily, but for a resort that seems to pride itself on its sustainability and being eco friendly I was pretty shocked to find our sheets and towels were being changed daily when we weren’t asking for this. There is even a card in the room that states bedding will be changed every three days but this wasn’t the case. Most worryingly, however, on several occasions, our sheets had been changed with blood stained linens and we were given a towel that had blood stains on it during our stay too both of which are unacceptable. For this reason I had to drop our rating down considerably and have also logged a complaint with our provider. What I will say as a credit to the resort is as soon as this was reported it was resolved very quickly but housekeeping should be checking new sheets and towels for any stains before putting them on the bed / in the room in the first place. It wasn’t ideal but as it was resolved very quickly it didn’t put too much of a dampener on our stay. More positively, If you have the opportunity to do the Mayan dinner show - do it. For $900 MXN (about £35) extra per person this was incredible value for money and a really great meal and show. Diego was a fantastic server. The lobby bar was always a great atmosphere and Olegario was brilliant serving us every night of our stay. The bartenders at the el Beso pool bar were fantastic too and never seemed flustered despite being very busy. Finally Karina from guest services was brilliant and super quick to respond to any questions / issues over WhatsApp. My feedback on the resort is that it is very geared towards families in the evenings. The El Beso pool in the day was super fun (the rehab party was great) but it was lacking on the entertainment side for adults in the evening unless you go to the piano bar, which didn’t really feel separated enough. More could be done with the sports bar to help with this I think. Finally, we found the pushy approach to leaving Google reviews for specific wait staff left a bit of a sour taste for us at meal times. Having servers try and push us into scanning a qr code to leave a review and mention them while standing over us pointing where to write and being quite forceful felt intrusive. I’m sure there incentives for getting mentions but they really shouldn’t be pushing this on guests after a meal. This was only a small handful of staff but enough to mention. Overall enjoyable stay with a few issues that were mostly resolved quickly. I would say that although we probably wouldn’t rush to return, don’t let the negative reviews on here put you off as it is a good resort that just needs some improvements.
