Beautiful resort, but not quite a 5-star experience
My partner and I recently stayed at Ocean Riviera Paradise and, while we did enjoy many aspects of the resort, we both agreed that it didn’t quite live up to a 5-star standard. We stayed in the Eden section, which had a beautiful pool area. However, it was extremely difficult to get a sun lounger unless you were up very early. On some mornings, we went for breakfast at 7am only to find that most sunbeds already had towels on them — clearly reserved, though this isn’t supposed to be allowed. In contrast, the El Beso and Privilege pools appeared to have more loungers available and were noticeably quieter and more relaxing. It became clear early on that the “Privilege” upgrade is the only way to experience what feels like a true 5-star stay. Privilege guests seemed to receive better service, had access to quieter areas, and overall a more premium experience. One disappointment during our stay was the cleanliness of our room. For the most part, it was fine — but towards the end of our stay, our bedding was changed and replaced with stained sheets. I went to Guest Services to ask for housekeeping to replace them, but instead a cleaner arrived and simply gave us more towels. The bedding was never actually changed, and oddly, our “Do Not Disturb / Please Clean” sign disappeared from the door. On a more positive note, the food overall was very good for an all-inclusive. There was a wide variety of restaurants and options. That said, after dining at La Locanda, I unfortunately experienced symptoms similar to food poisoning, which was disappointing. In summary, Ocean Riviera Paradise is a lovely resort with great potential — especially visually and in terms of amenities — but unless you upgrade to Privilege, it doesn’t quite deliver on its 5-star promise. We enjoyed our trip but would likely look elsewhere next time for a more consistently high standard of service

Definitely not 5 star rating but no worse than a 4
June 17-24th 2025 Eden room (4255) Food- Buffett provided a large variety of decent quality food. Best to go within the hour of it opening to get the best experience. It is worth mentioning however that my partner and I have had an extended episode of travellers diarrhoea most likely due to the food or potentially water and ice. We are both equally surprised by this as we are very cautious and would urge anyone staying here to take the caution when eating seafood, fruit ect… Room- very spacious, Air conditioning worked perfectly, fairly clean but the sofa was filthy as was the balcony which also had a poor view. Service- service on the whole was definitely as expected for a 4.5/5 star hotel. Staff within all bars and restaurants were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately a cleaner had stolen one of our AirPods and as we’ve read on here this isn’t an isolated incident so it definitely impacts the 5 star rating as you shouldn’t have to be on eggshells in your own hotel room. Facilities- if there was anything that definitely warrants the 5 star rating it’s this. Plenty of entertainment ( free bowling, an arcade, regular evening shows) . Only 3/5 pools were available to us in Eden however the Eden pool and beach pool were both great. The gym and tennis courts were also high quality. The main lobby is probably the best facility due to the spaciousness alongside the main bar in the middle and piano bar. Buggy’s that ran every 5/10 minutes to and from the beach were a very convenient feature. Overall the stay at ORP did mildly meet expectations mostly due to the facilities and service, however I do believe the 5 star rating along with the £1285 is steep for the experience. I would say that the ORP is better than its neighbour Princess in most regards other than the beach due to natural corrosion, however this is not something in the hotels control.
