    Save Your Money

My wife and I stayed overnight. This place is a dump. King suite was tiny with a couch that should be on the side of the road somewhere. We used the Murphy bed because the king bed was like a brick. Needs a serious upgrade. Our floor had sections of rooms blocked off, looks like an active construction project, only more like the project is shuttered. Kind of weird vibe, certainly far from a resort vibe. Not is single amenity, bar, restaurant, or even a stupid coffee was available on the property. Asked two different people at the desk and both said Nothing is open in the off season. They were extremely nice, but they mean nothing! Basically a low grade motel 6 with a great view. Thankfully there are several places in walking distance, but this place was dead and I can see why. I’ve stayed at a dozen resorts in the oceanfront area, and this is by far the worst value I’ve experienced. Place flat sucks.

    It's AWFUL

Beware, don't waste your money. It's NOT a resort. I stayed there and NOTHING worked. Hot tub was cold, pool was supposed to be heated but it was cold. The restaurants were Closed. The sauna was broken. The room door had NO weather stripping so it was cold in the room ALL night. Talk to the manager and was told well it's off season stuff is not suppose to work. Then was offered to come back and stay on another date. I told the manager I wouldn't come back to this place if it was the last hotel in Myrtle Beach. Save your money book somewhere else.

    Nice Location and View

Stayed here from Thursday thru Sunday. Seems like an old hotel in some ways, perhaps could use more lighting. Staff moves slow and didn't seem to smile much. Room was very clean, a bit small compared to some hotels. Breakfast was $10 plus change. I've had more choices to eat at some hotels that have free breakfast. Located right on the beach and had a good ocean view. Suggest a room at 5th floor or higher to avoid looking thru palm trees. Couldn't get anyone to answer the lobby phone at 11:30 PM at night. Refrigerator and microwave in the room. Only 2 coat hangars in the closet. Bathroom very clean. Room temperature control good. Two restaurants. The Spanish Galleon restaurant is a place to dance, eat and socialize.

Room was closer to a closet than hotel room

Just back from 3-day stay, called from road for reservation as this was a last minute decision. Talked to a very nice lady at the front desk, told her what we were looking for. She had a 1-bed ocean view which was fine for us, told her I wanted a complete price after all the add charges, no hidden charges. Talked to the same lady at check in, sorry do not remember her name but very nice and friendly. Went to the room and things started going down hill from that point. I am 72 years old and have stayed in many. many hotel rooms but this was the smallest I have ever seem or stayed in. There was not room to set a chair in our room except you could wedge one of the plastic balcony chairs in beside the window and bed but you could not point it directly at the tv. Keep in mind this was over $100 a night. They did not put a gun to my head and force me to take it. From there, we came in one day and the door was left open, I assume all day long since we were out most of the day. Then the final chapter, when I checked my bill I found out that they had added a $45 resort fee to the total they had given me. The wind was up the last night we stayed and it was soo noisy you could hardly talk much less sleep. What a miserable week end. Avoid this place at all cost.
