Disappointed stay despite a beautiful property
Disappointing Stay Despite a Beautiful Property (Travel Dates: May 31 – June 7, 2025) The resort grounds are stunning, but our overall experience was frustrating. Check-in was slow and impersonal. Dining reservations were nearly impossible to secure at decent times and limited to only three days—something not disclosed ahead of time. Service was wildly inconsistent. A few staff stood out (Samuel and Idelsi at the lobby bar, and the gym attendant), but most interactions lacked friendliness or basic hospitality. Beach vendors were relentless, making it hard to relax. We faced repeated issues with flat drinks, denied requests for sparkling water, and unhelpful staff when trying to arrange transportation or tours. Our meals were mostly disappointing—especially the Italian restaurant, where I almost bit into a piece of plastic. We expected better from a 4-star resort. Until they improve service, communication, and basic guest support, I can’t recommend staying here.

Good Enough if your on a Budget
If you are on a budget and don't mind an older style hotel then go for it. After staying though I would recommend Majestic Colonial instead (where we stayed lastbyear). The toilet in the room did not flush well. We had a millipede in our room( I guess that comes with the humid climate). The beds were okay. The buffets horrible. Poor food quality and selection. However, the alarm cart restaurants were good. No top shelf alcohol, and it seemed the bartenders only made 3 different types of drink for everyone. I kept asking for a banana daiquiri, but they just nodded and gave me a bahama mama or pink colada. The beach was beautiful the first day, and we found lots of shade under the palm trees. The next day, they were cutting and trimming all the palm trees down to bare stalks practically , and left no shade. We went in June and some of the days there was so much seaweed that we couldn't go in the ocean, but they did have a grating machine cleaning the beach. The pool was very beautiful, big, and pleasant. However they only did one activity (foam party) the week we were there. The activity staff addressed nearly every country, except the USA. They only spoke in Spanish. If you don't know Spanish. You will not be able to communicate with staff. They are not bilingual.

US$200 Stolen from My Room
I stayed for a week. The place was nice and the environment pleasant, but the food felt very repetitive after a few days—pretty much the same thing every day. The restaurants (Las Caracolas, D’Oriental, and Via Veneto) serve decent meals, but nothing fancy or memorable. What really ruined the experience for me, though, is that US $200 was stolen from the room I was staying in. That completely changed how I saw the place. The staff was okay—nothing bad to say—but after being robbed in my own room, I can’t recommend it and definitely won’t be coming back.

Bad time
Booked an excursion and they booked the wrong one. Tried to get a refund and was told I had to wait to talk to someone. Suppose to have a ring ceremony and only got dinner on the beach. Still waiting on my refund for that as well. This place is not worth it. We missed dinner for 2 nights because of them messing up. The food is ok. No compensation what so ever on their part. They keep passing it to someone else.
