    I will never go back

Staff needs training on customer service, acknowledging customers when they come around even if not able to help right away. They are understaffed The place is clearly needing some TLC: we had a window that would not close, a toilet overflowed, no hot water in the shower.

    Costa Rican escape trip

Staff was excellent - friendly and good service. Food was also very good but getting into the Italian restaurant was harder than winning the lottery. Very scenic location and well maintained property. The beach allowed for great views and walks. The pools were well maintained. Probably COVID related, but you always had to walk to the bars for a drink; no one served you at the pools. Bars had no 'top shelf' selections and premium members had to walk to 2nd floor for drinks. Silly inconvenience. Upgrading to premium is not recommended. Some were able to get their drinks once they friended bartenders. Activities were hit and miss. The few that were offered sometimes didn't happen. When booking, don't forget to apply any discounts or coupons. They will not modify a reservation once you commit. And beware - they have no cancellation option. You commit and pay the full cost. I would not discourage someone from staying here, but I would not recommend it either. I imagine there are better options in Costa Rica.

Pretty place, just disappointed in the service.

They say they have three restaurants including a buffet. Plan on only the buffer. Every time you try to book any of the other restaurants they are already booked for the day, or only one option is available for that day, and it’s booked any way. The reception was poor. They are not welcoming, they just care about making sure you wear a bracelet and sign a paper that says you won’t smoke in the rooms or of the facility. It was a very poor reception.

    Not the best

I’ll be very transparent and say this hotel was just okay. We had a party of 11 and because this was an Adults only hotel, we decided to stay here. I expected a little more action due to it being adults only. the beach was very quiet and you have to grab your own chairs. no umbrellas are there and no drink or food service. that was the most disappointing part. the women giving massages on the beach are a little too much. when you say no they touch you and massage you to give you a preview and i was turned off by it. the pool is where we got most of the action, but was also disappointed the jacuzzi wasn’t heated. On the first night, no hot water in the room and the nob to the shower broke. The buffet food is ok. not great, not bad. Another disappointment was there are 2 restaurants but you can only eat at one every 3 days. our stay was 5 nights so we could only eat at one. we complained a little and got to eat at the other restaurant on our last night. Also because we had a big party, they couldn’t accommodate all of us at the same time which was also not good. The best part of the hotel was the staff. A few stood out. Carlos Moreno, brian at the lobby bar, alexandra and cesar at the pool, and david. They all made sure to smile and remember some of us day to day. One more thing is there are raccoons roaming around the hotel. They got into one of our rooms and ate some personal items. The staff kind of brushed it off. I assume they are used to getting complaints about them but some of us were scared. maybe some signs around the resort would help. some more night time activists would be nice also! overall we had a great time. and the resort and greenery is beautiful.
