The best beach concierge staff
This was our first getaway since the pandemic started. Traveling is still stressful being on the packed plane wearing a mask for hours, and not having all the amenities of the hotel that we are used to. The hotel is nice pools are clean. I must mention the cigarette smokers in the hallway you suck! And don’t bother calling the front desk because they NEVER answer. But G, Tiger, and Cam went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They are professional, wearing masks in the blazing heat, consistently checking on guests. As we watched them we noticed they aren’t like the group of concierge that you have to wave down and they are too busy in personal conversation to help. When we asked G if he ever gets tired. His reply was a simple “he enjoys his job.” He’s used to the hot sun. I’m so grateful for someone so sanguine during times like these. He’s a true gem. These guys made our trip worthwhile.
Amazing summer getaway!
I decided last minute to take a trip to Miami Beach with my daughter. We booked through Costco travel and got a beautiful room at the Nobu Hotel which is joined with The Eden Roc in Miami Beach. When we arrived it was early, 9am and our room wasn’t ready yet. Check in is late afternoon 3 or 4, but they called us by noon and our room was ready. In the meantime, Carlos made our morning! He welcomed us with friendly, genuine hospitality! He gave us water and took our bags. Showed us to the larger restrooms where we could change. Fast forward to our check out day a week later, still the same fabulous service from Carlos. He made our stay and made us want to come back!! He is a rare gem in such a crowded scene. He makes you feel special as a guest at the Eden Roc/Nobu with his genuine, friendly charisma!!! The view and scenery from the room, beach and pool are top notch! Despite the Unexpected influx of business this particular weekend, the staff made the best of taking care of their guests! Thank you!!!
After being on lock down in NYC we decided to take a quick trip to our usual hangout in Miami Beach and glad to see that although there are obvious restrictions due to the COVID situation the hotel was in really good shape. The beach was wonderful and the weather cooperated the entire weekend. Our room looked at the bay and ocean (thanks to Raul who said he would get us some type of ocean view even though there were none available when I called) and the Nobu restaurant was on point. Also need to thank Carlos Z at cusomer care who was spot on and always makes our trip extra special. I cannot wait to come back soon when we return to a normal life. But if you need a quick trip this is definitely worth it.
Worst Experience Ever! Wouldn’t recommend!
I recently stayed here this past weekly after staying at both the California location and Mexico prior. The service is unmatched! With being in hotel management I have come to expect a certain type of service, along with proactive communication this hotel had neither! Everything was blamed on the Governor Restrictions enacted for the protection of staff and guests. However, these are things that the guests should be made aware of prior to staying as prices don’t match the lack of staffing i.e. Skelton crew and lack of amenities offered. (Took at least 30 minutes to get someone on the phone to request something). We stayed 4/3 recieved an FYI letter at check in that should’ve been sent 24-48 hours prior to check in. The letter stipulated no housekeeping unless upon request (which was requested and we did not recieved it, was told it’s limited service however letter doesn’t indicate that). No room service, however a $35 charge for a microwave to warm up one meal. Hallways smelled of marijuana! 4 star hotel! Random men roaming the hallways late at night! No key control by floor! Very big safety concern for women traveling alone. Me and my friend split the rooms fees yet we’ve been way overcharged 3 charges in total $836, $530 and $530 something again! That was the ultimate kicker, I guess night audit is off as well to process billing correctly. The nonchalant attitudes from the management staff, please note I’ve never seen a staff so controlled and not empowered. The management team was overwhelmed, irritated and performance lacked four stars to say the least. I over heard guests frustrated due to lost cars, lack of amenities, no rooms available so sleeping in the lobby. Lastly the best part ever, in 80 plus degree weather with Florida Humidity no water offer at the pool???? Oh because of the Governer! At this point I’m going to email him and research the guidelines in which they were given as a hotel to reopen and also send this complaint to him being as though everything was blamed on him!
We stayed here because we thought it was the quality of nobu the Restraunt but it’s part of Eden rock which is really tired and in nerd of a renovation. The hotel pool Restraunt Malibu farms is beyond gross. Furthermore, or as a result of, the guests are bringing in outside food such as dominos and Pizza Hut. It lends a very cheap vibe when you are paying for what you thought was a nice resort. The group in front of me were eating sandwiches from tinfoil while I’m paying $200 for a crap lunch.
