Fun times at Nickelodeon Punta Cana!
This was our second visit to the Punta Cana Nickelodeon resort. We had a great time with our 7 yr old son. Opted for the swim up room since there is a lot of sargasso seaweed at the beach this time of year. The Aqua Nick water park was fun and we spent a few days there. Our son was 1/2” too short to ride the new, bigger water slides so that was disappointing but it’s a safety issue I guess. Service was generally very good and the staff was friendly. Our butler, Mr Jean was fantastic! He accommodated our cabana requests and dinner reservations and was very quick to respond when we had a question or needed something. He made it a very seamless stay. We enjoyed the magician and his dancers who performed one night in the auditorium and our son loved the bouncy castle and popcorn that was provided every evening after dinner. We also enjoyed the family pizza making activity hosted by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Our only criticisms are that the resort is starting to age so a bit of wear and tear in the room (the patio door was really hard to open and the shower door leaked all over the bathroom) but the resort as a whole was very well maintained. One of the beach front restaurants was under renovation and generally we wished there were some more food options but what was offered met our expectations. At Aqua Nick they play Nick radio all day which is about a 1 hour repeating play list so that got a bit repetitive and we wished they played more variety of music throughout the day. Also the food at Aqua Bite wasn’t the greatest so that could use some quality and variety improvement. Generally we had a great week and would recommend the resort to families with young and elementary aged children.

Tres generaciones vacacionando. Three generations vacationing
José el mayordomo nos atendió en uestra estadía en Nickelodeon, fuimos 2 familias y él se encargó de hacer de uestras vacaciones una experiencia inolvidable. José was our concierge for our stay at the resort, there were 3 generations on this trip and he made sure we all felr welcome and had an amazing time. Can't wait to go back.

Save your money go somewhere else
I completely agree with the other guests this place is far from perfect for families. On arrival we did not get a welcome drink or any form of welcome. We had to wait a while to be transferred to our room which was ready. With three small children this was a pain. When getting to the room we only had one bed and a sofa bed which meant no bed for my little girl. Food was ok in the buffet but the other restaurants just seem to offer the same food as the buffet that just served it for you. They also shut the buffet and only opened for dinner Friday to Sunday which meant you had to wait for a table at the other restaurants. Plus you the time share rubbish. If your not handing over $14,000 for the pass you won't get any nice treatment. Everything is extra. Save your money and go to a better place than this. The only person that was nice and helpful was Adul at the bar at the water park.

Nickelodeon resort may be best to go busy season
When we arrived, I was initially excited about our stay at Nickelodeon & Punta Cana Resort. However, a few issues quickly became apparent. For example, while I noticed that other guests were offered drinks upon check-in, we weren’t given any refreshments. Room Experience Upon arrival to our room, we realized we were given the wrong room. When I called to address the mistake, the staff told me the only difference was a bathtub, and no reimbursement or adjustment was offered. The room itself was cute and included a private swimming pool, but it hadn’t been cleaned properly—there were toenails on the rugs. Housekeeping staff were very attentive, but they didn’t replenish pool towels, and the room service was very slow. Dining & Food Service My daughter mostly eats burgers and chicken tenders, and unfortunately, she had a hard time eating throughout our stay. They only had one slice of American cheese during our four-day visit, and instead tried to give her Swiss or nacho cheese—she doesn’t eat either. The chicken tenders were dry, and overall restaurant service was painfully slow. It took 20 minutes just to take drink orders, and another 20 minutes to receive them. At times, we felt completely ignored by restaurant staff even though the resort was far from full. Many items I tried to order were unavailable, and one evening the food looked reheated and was cold. At breakfast, my omelets were burnt every day and the hashbrowns, my daughter’s favorite, weren’t good. They didn’t have syrup—only maple brown syrup in Eula—so my daughter didn’t enjoy much of the food at all. However, there was one kind and attentive server at the buffet. Outdoor Dining & Facilities At Fresco, the outdoor restaurant by the pool, they didn’t have the items I wanted, and if you were down at the beach, you had to walk back up to Fresco to get food. Service was quicker here, but it was frustrating to have to pay extra for top-shelf liquor. Waterpark Experience When we were taken by golf cart to the waterpark, we had to wait at the bus stop while guests from the lobby were taken first, even though we had arrived earlier. At the first waterpark, the food was good, but again no American cheese was available. I later found out there was a bigger waterpark nearby, better suited for older kids, but no one informed us of this option. Other Issues & Observations • Restaurant reservations were tricky the first two days because my room number wasn’t listed in the system. • It seemed like the resort was undergoing renovations; many rooms were closed, and furniture was being moved around. This meant that during our last day, there was loud maintenance work to the lawns, which created a mess. • The beach was terrible—piled high with months of seaweed and infested with sand flies, making it impossible to enjoy. • A beach server admitted I’d have to walk through the seaweed to reach the water. • Staff at the beach were often chatting with beach vendors not affiliated with the resort. • The website advertised a shuttle to and from the airport, but there wasn’t one. • While they played Nickelodeon in English daily, which my daughter enjoyed, be prepared with a translator app—more than half the staff did not speak English. • Bell guys were very nice and helpful. • One of our bedside reading lights didn’t work, and the sofa bed was very hard. • Lastly, you have to pay extra to have dinner with your favorite cartoon character. Overall, while the resort had some nice features (like the private pool, Coke and Sprite in the fridge, and a good selection of kids’ TV channels), there were too many issues with cleanliness, food availability, and customer service to justify the high price point. Oh my daughter wanted a hoodie. The text said $35 usd when we got to the register they wanted us to pay $57 usd. A regular T-shirt was $40usd bucks.
