Not quite New York, but still a fun visit
It may not have the feel of the real deal, but New York - New York is still a good place to visit. The restaurants are themed to try and mirror the Big Apple. Zumanity is a great Cirque du Soleil show at the hotel (a must see for any couple).
Hotel was great, from arrival to departure, Helpful with local knowledge and guidance, Rooms are clean, Large, Big Bathroom , Tea and Coffee, Satelite TV, Wifi, Good Views of the Strip and Roller Coaster, Massive Hotel with food fro everyone, Pizza, Italian, Burgers, Steaks, Ice Cream, Breakfast very nice, Bars very polite entertaining, Dueling Pianos, Upstairs Ugly Cayote Bar and Dance. Casino for all levels of players, Take advantage of the free daily Blackjack lessons at noon, but plenty to play Cards, Dice, Roulette and so many Machines to go on, Service was great as always cannot complain. Not far from M&M World, Bobby Flays Restaurant and walk up the strip to see the rest.
Great hotel overall but rooms a bit average
I think this Hotel is great overall. Love the dining area and surroundings. I thought that for the price, our room was fairly standard. I didn’t feel parts of the hotel were maintained to a high standard. The carpets in the hallways were stained in areas. Needs a bit of an overhaul. I’d probably stay somewhere else if I visit Las Vegas again.
Property is situated in a very convenient part of town. Convenient to walk the Las Vegas Strip and has many many F&B options all around. I got a room facing the roller-coaster, the sounds didn't really affect me much like some reviews, but maybe because i was further or higher up? Overall walls very pretty sound proof except for rooms that had connecting doors. Most tours i took departed from Excalibur hotel which was just opposite New York New York, so that was still convenient. This hotel is one of the most iconic hotels to take a picture with on the Las Vegas strip, so don't forget that photo opportunity. Staff were very helpful and concierge were like eagles asking if we needed help with our luggage. One thing, some rooms can be quite far from elevators as this is a huge hotel, and elevators can be quite crowded during peak periods. Another thing, this place is next to the Ice Hockey Stadium where the Golden Knights play, traffic can be crazy during game days. Do take note.
Nice hotel in a great location and with amenities for all ages
We stayed here at Christmas and had a lovely time. The location was great and there was always something to do either in the hotel or within walking distance for all family members, ages ranging from teens to 60s. The restaurants and cafes were also an added bonus, particularly the creperie and the Italian restaurant. While the bedrooms were comfortable, there were quite dark and slightly more dated than anticipated.
