During this time of Covid, I felt comfortable staying at the Westin. I pulled several strands of hair from my comforter and their was a thick ring of dirt inside the tub. This was my first time staying at a hotel since Covid started and now I am sceptical of staying at another. This is a time where cleaning efforts should be increased, not to be found slacking!
So so disappointed... What has happened to this hotel?
I have been a long standing, loyal Bonvoy member traveling at Westin properties globally. I have never been so disappointed in a hotel. Recognizing COVID changes things.. this is way more than that. Westin management has cut back so much on staff, no housekeeping or towel refresh for our weekend stay, reduced hours for room service and restaurant... Even the bar is closed though Ohio mandates allow bars to be open till 10pm. We talked to several people who also shared their AC didn't work, toilets leaked, etc. My heart goes out for the less than friendly front desk employees as they are over worked and I have to believe tired of complaints. This is squarely a management decision and problem. I understand cut backs but you are still open for business... Staff appropriately, treat your customers with respect and turn this ship around.
Great team and committed to keeping you safe
They entire team at the Westin did a great job of keeping us safe and helping us. Darrell Frazier and Tina Summers from the breakfast cafe were extremely kind and made this difficult process easy on all. All safety procedures were fully implemented and respected. I would come back anytime
Went for breakfast at the Westin restaurant/breakfast serving area at about 8:30am local. The guy preparing the food was in his usual bad attitude, but this time he was going above and beyond his bad food handling duties. No mask as is shown in the picture, using the same gloves after leaving and returning to the kitchen-prep area and multiple times touching his face with the same gloves he's preparing food. I tried to bring up the issue with the front desk lady (Endrin) but I was quickly dismissed, didn’t seemed to care and actually got bother when I brought it up. Although this can happen anywhere, it seems that there's only a matter of time before someone gets sick from this kind of practice at this place.
We love staying at the Westin, but we don't recommend Westin Cincinnati.
We have stayed in Westin Chattanooga and Westin Atlanta. Both experiences were great, so obviously we chose the Westin when we visited Cincinnati for a wedding. I will start off by saying, the hotel is in a great location. The breakfast restaurant located in the hotel is a convenient perk. There is also a Dunkin Donuts and a Starbucks located inside the hotel, however they are closed. If you are looking for a hotel with a pool, the Westin has closed their pool due to Covid-19. They do not tell you this upon booking. This is one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. We have small children and needed something to pass the time. When we got to our room, the carpet has some stains and needs to be cleaned. The beds had no fitted sheets. There was a sheet laid across it. We had two very thin sheets on top...no comforter so we had to turn the air up so we would not freeze. When we went to shower, the water pressure is decent and we had hot water but the tub filled up with water so we were standing in a tub of water while showering. This washed up someone else's body hair. Gross and disappointing for a Westin. I attempted to upload pictures but was unable to.
