Not Great, won’t return
1. Our room was on the 2nd floor at the very end with a view of the parking lot. The 2nd floor was mostly vacant. Since there were a number of better rooms available, we should have been given a free upgrade. 2. Rusty, brown water came out of both the shower and faucet: Did not look safe to drink. We were not being told about water stations. 3. Toilet kept running which woke us up at night. 4. The AC made loud noises. 5. Debris in the hallway, and in front of the lobby should be cleaned more often.

Wonderful stay!
Wonderful stay! Our room was beautiful and clean and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The pools were nice and the beach that the hotel is located on is gorgeous. I loved my stay here

Wonderful and worth more than the cost.
The perfect place for our honeymoon stay. Our room was very retro, clean, comfortable and great view of the ocean. We used the kitchen for 3-4 meals, which was money saving and relaxing. Pool is great for families and those who don’t go to the beach (just a few steps further). We rented snorkel gear and chairs from the beach hut- something we would do again and more often. Nice reef right off the beach. Castaways has great food, music at night, and an amazing view. We played ping pong at the end of the day. Foodland down the road has the most affordable and yummy poke- don’t waste your money otherwise! Great stay with great staff. Feeling very grateful we booked our stay here.

A Perfect Return to Maui Kaanapali Villas – Our Best Stay Yet
We’ve stayed at Maui Kaanapali Villas (MKV) in 2014 and 2016, and we’re so glad we returned again on this trip. We booked a one-bedroom premium garden apartment via Booking.com and requested a loft-style layout — we were allocated Apartment 239, and it exceeded our expectations. The apartment was beautifully renovated, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. It featured two bathrooms, which was perfect for our family. My wife and I had the loft bedroom and our own private bathroom, while our teenage daughter used the sofa bed downstairs and had access to a huge bathroom with a double vanity — essentially her own suite! The lanai overlooked the serene garden pool and spa, creating a peaceful and relaxing setting. The apartment was clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. MKV may be the oldest resort on Kaanapali Beach, but it retains a charming, traditional Hawaiian feel. While the property has been renovated over the years, it still offers an authentic and welcoming atmosphere. It’s quieter and more private than many of the larger resorts, and the beach access is absolutely top-tier. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the on-site Castaway Cafe remains one of Kaanapali’s best-kept secrets — a true hidden gem. We highly recommend Maui Kaanapali Villas and will definitely be returning

Best resort in Kaanapali
My family and I first stayed at MKV in 2014 and have since then fell in love with the resort and do not want to stay anywhere else. This visit, we stayed in the Banyan area: room 239. It was a beautiful loft with two beds - including a fold out sofa, a kitchen, 2 tvs, a desk, a balcony and 2 spacious bathrooms with shower amenities provided. The resort has 2 pools, shuffleboard, table tennis and an amazing restaurant called Castaways that is open all day. The service is amazing and the staff are so friendly. The resort is also home to some stray cats - some who love to be petted. There is also a trolley that comes to the resort on a scheduled timetable to transport you. It is also right on the beach and is amazing for sunset views. Overall, I highly recommend staying at the Aston Maui Kaanapali Villas, you will not regret it.
