Not best experience but understandable. Happy with Marriott cleanliness standards and practices. Very nice staff and stay enjoyable despite the Covid impact in services. Marriott doing a good job and happy to be a loyal traveler.
Request low floor original room top floor. Had to go in to check in to check in as no room key sent to phone. Found top floor assigned. Recent surgery required the use of a knee scooter or crutches so low floor assigned but room did not have a walk-in shower but a tub. This created a problem. Would not recommend this hotel.
Marriott Cincinnati North
Decent hotel, usually busy but not so much due to Covid-19. Given there looked to be only about 20-30 guests, I thought being titanium elited I would get an upgrade. That wasn't the case. The concierge lounge was closed and there was no breakfast. I have stayed here before when it was much busier.
Hotel was empty when we checked in. Negatives: Entire front lobby area was dark as well as the front desk check-in area. Lobby was empty and everything was closed except for the pool, exercise room, and a restaurant. I think the hotel had no more than 20 guest staying. Hall way lighting was dark. No water was offered or the breakfast (I'm a platinum member). I was told I'll receive check-in bonus points as well as additional points for the lounge being closed. Room refrigerator was disconnected and it was impossible for me to plug it in. Had to get ice to keep drinks cold overnight. My stay was credited (nights) but no points. etc.. Positives: Receptionist was friendly and helpful. Room was clean including the bathroom. I stayed using my Marriott points so I can't complain too much. This was a ok stay at a ok Marriott.
AWESOME Staff Members
We actually began with 2 small issues and the staff handled the situation professionally. Our glass door had an issue & they moved us explaining what could happen if we stayed b/c they weren't sure they could fix it while we were away from our room. The other situation steamed from an employee who was serving breakfast. Again the staff promptly handled the situation. Rooms were clean, staff was AWESOME, & we highly recommend Cincinnati Marriott North.
