Relaxation, world class food and drink!
Loved every minute at Marivel Emotions! The attention to detail, was above and beyond from all staff! The food was plentiful, and lots of variety, from Mexican, to a steakhouse to buffet! The staff take extra care in helping guests and the rooms provide comfort and a great sleep! Yoga on the beach was exceptional with Kristen from NRG2go. Lots of activities from aquasize to yoga, to just enjoying the entertainment crew by the pool! amazing mexican theme night, and the cocktails were expertly crafted

Food, memories, and a home away from home!
Just finishing up a week at Marivel Emotions! It has been an incredible experience from the moment we stepped onto resort. The staff are all extremely welcoming and hospitable, and complete their jobs with pride and the highest quality of service! Estefania at the lobby bar was extremely helpful to my husband by providing 0.0 sins alcohol cervesa at his request! THANK YOU!!!! Excellent gym facilities, and extremely relaxing YIN yoga on the beach with Kristen from NRG2GO! MARCO at the members bar and beach area was fantastic! Always there to help with a great heart and amazing service! The Mexican theme night was incredible! So much variety with the food and an exceptional atmosphere. The mariachi was amazing. Lots of variety with food, we really loved the Pizza restaurant, the buffet was plentiful! THANK YOU Marivel, you have provided us an excellent week away from everyday life!

Great looks below average service( with exceptions)
Nice resort, with remarkable food (especially breakfast) but falls short on the training and quality of service provided by staff. We had one of the worst experiences from all resorts we stayed so far. Restaurant had 5 tables occupied and after waiting for over 30m to get some more wine we had to get out of our seats walk to te bar outside the restaurant to get service and walk back with glasses on our hands because staff from "las palomas" were too busy chatting despite of being called multiple times we left without finishing our dinner because of that. Towels, soap, shampoo were not replenish with consistency. They also have a bad policy of trying to push you into a visit to their membership suites as soon as you finish you check-in and they are really pushing it , it feels very uncomfortable. Despite all that, a few staff really shine through especially in the bar on the main lobby (Alicia and Pedro, make sure to ask for their "Mescalita con Jamaica") All staff from the Casa Bella during Breakfast and Edith and Luiz from entreteiment made our visit significantly better that it would have been if it relyed on the other staff.

Below expectations but ok experience.
The recreation crew were great with lots of activities, shoutout to Edith and Luis. The infrastructure was fine. Alicia and Pedro were great at the bar in the lobby! Customer service in general was below average w/ some bumps along the week. Right out of the gate we were approached by some staff trying to sell us a Club membership while the only thing we wanted was to change into our swimming clothes and hit the pool bar. Once we asked to postpone the conversation they ended the very pleasant attitude abruptly and left. Some staff were very “fluent” in English but when they were required to solve problems suddenly no one could speak English. Not a terrible vacation but my group and I were expecting more.

Off the beaten path.
Loved the Mercure Hotel in KyoTango. Clean, Efficient, great staff. Wonderful area before or after visiting the busy city of Kyoto. Lots to do here - including the fishing town across the inlet. Ponta's is a wonderful restaurant to have dinner at in KyoTango. Call ahead.
