Be aware that this hotel is understaffed during Covid19
The Margaritaville management has decided to cut all amenities in response to Covid19 precautions and reduced business. I am not here to bash the management but I want the next visitor to know what they are getting into. As of Sept 15th these services are UN-available: Room Service, Housekeeping, all bars are closed, only 1 restaurant open, No breakfast sit-down (coffeeshop only), No bar service at the adult pool. The most disappointing thing is that the staffing is so low that it can take one hour and 45 minutes to have lunch at the only sit-down food service on the property. I attended with a large group having a business meeting. We were the ONLY business meeting at the property. They knew we were coming and still did not place enough staff on duty to meet even our most basic need for coffee during the meetings. The highlight of our visit was when our group rented-out the JWB restaurant (on-property steakhouse that is only open evenings) for our closing meal. The staff at the JWB obviously works only for the JWB and they know how to do high quality service. The staffing level was appropriate to the number of guests we brought. I congratulate the JWB manager for upholding their level of service during these trying times.
No COVID-19 enforcement only Hotel
We stayed at the Margaritaville Hotel for the weekend of September 12th. Although they ask you to wear a mask when you first enter they never enforce it throughout the hotel. The game room area, pool area, and elevators are Covid central. We complained, but they don’t seem to care. If you don’t want to be sick, don’t come here. At least, not until there is a vaccine. We won’t. Extremely disappointing!!!!!! We had dinner at the hard rock tonight and they were enforcing the Covid rules. I’ll be surprised if the Covid #s aren’t through the roof in Mississippi and Louisiana next week thanks to Margaritaville and about half their patrons.
Not only is covid happening but they’re not limiting their guest in this hotel or on beach properties! Not only do you pay so much with the resort fee and the parking! The parking is public parking so half of the time you can’t even find a spot even though you’re staying on the resort! The beach is over crowded! All 3 pools are overcrowded! All of the special “amenities” like the bars and the restaurants on property all of them are closed except ONE! Horrible for how much money I spent!!
It’s 5 o’clock somewhere
Margaritaville Resort completely saved our trip. We were staying at another hotel down the road and it was dirty. We stayed one night & the next morning I called Margaritaville at 7:55am, we were over there by 9am with a gorgeous CLEAN room overlooking the ocean. Talk about an early check-in! Thank you Joe! Very clean resort, super friendly, accommodating staff. Thank you Michelle, Odell, Neil, Joe, and Bianca. The pool/beach side attendants were wonderful. We loved that you could walk across the street to the beach to the beach cabana & they had your chairs & umbrella all set up for you with beach side service starting at 11am. We were there Sunday-Wednesday so there wasn’t much going on at the resort but it was only at 50% capacity so we felt like we had the place to ourselves which we enjoyed. Our flight was changed on us so we explained our problem to Odell at the front desk. He gave us a late checkout of 1pm & offered to store our bags & let us stay on property & utilize everything until we were ready to go. Excellent service!
Covid Honeymoon at Margaritaville!
My wife and I recently got married but we’re unable to go on our originally planned honeymoon in Italy, We shuffled through several alternative destinations but in the end we decided we needed to stay in the United States and we fell upon this gem known as Margaritaville resort in Hollywood Florida. Our Covid honeymoon could not be going any better! The grounds at Margaritaville are beautiful, from the pools and beach access to the lobby and indoor shop and restaurants, everything is very clean and accommodating. But more importantly than the amenities at the hotel is the kindness and friendliness of all of the employees! From the moment you walk in you feel like a king. Everyone is happy to see you, everyone is very friendly and willing to offer assistance and each team member makes you feel welcome and wanted. Michelle checked us in upon arrival and then surprised with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries as a congratulations the next day! My wife and I Also had the opportunity of developing a personal relationship with some of the hotel staff… Angel Is one of the waiters at the pool but after meeting him you will think he’s running the hotel! He has a bright vibrant smile that makes you feel at home, he had answers to all of our questions and was always interested in how we were doing, how our day was going and always made us feel like VIP. Micaela is also a waitress at the pool and she was very attentive and personable and offered great service! Blake and Drew were in charge of the flow rider... Blake got me interested in trying it and told me when and how to sign up. Drew was my instructor and he was patient with my stubbornness and persistence to jump in feet first and gave me tips after every wipe out! Lastly Corby, He’s such a warm hearted man, he is one of the maître d’’s that meets you at the front door of the hotel. He made us feel like we were family and even offered us marriage advice when we told him we were on our honeymoon.
