Great service
My waiter Ian was great! Very attentive and everything came out hot and fast. The blackened salmon was cooked perfectly and the plantains were excellent. The fritters were a little heavy on the breading but they had a lot of flavor and the sauce that came with it was great . The north of town drink is delicious as well so cheers to the bartender.

Fin-tastic Resort!
I can't say enough great things about this resort--but I'll try! BIG PICTURE: This resort and its rooms and spa are spacious, comfy, private, clean, modern and it all feels brand new!!! ROOM: We booked a beautiful 2 bedroom sunrise suite. I was nervous because I have gotten misled (on other vacations to other hotels) and Margaritaville never did send me written confirmation that I had booked this particular type room, no matter how many times I asked for it. And there weren't photos of the whole suite online so I couldn't really tell what the suite contained. (Lucky for you I posted some of these photos!) Well, rarely are a room and hotel beyond expectations, but this was! When I saw our room I was delighted! This giant 2 bedroom Sunrise suite has 3 bathrooms (not mentioned in the hotel description!) and a pullout couch so 6 could comfortably sleep here. Accommodations are very clean and modern, they feel brand new. The private, large wraparound balcony is incredible, with views in every direction! There are 3 big TVs, a small fridge, coffee maker etc., large closets with wooden hangers, soap/gel/conditioner in the showers, lotion and blowdryers provided, desk space, everything you could want! The linens, pillows, and towels are fresh, clean, soft and new. The a/c units kept the room to a chilly, comfortable temperature. Ceiling fans in the rooms are a bonus. GROUNDS & EXTRAS: The grounds are clean and impeccably maintained. This resort feels brand new. There are shops; bars; several restaurants with good food; a modest fitness room; a fantastic spa with steam room, hot tub, showers, quiet room-- the works! The giant pool area is like an attraction itself, slides, deep water jump area, lazy river, hot tub. OTHER: Tried the rock climbing wall (free and fun!). Didn't get the chance to do the boogie board surf experience next to it (free). There's a small bowling alley, movie theatre and bar up the street, we took a peek but it wasn't really open the hour we were there. Looked clean and nice. We did jet skis tour to pig island. We booked jet ski tour at kiosk on the boardwalk just outside the pool property area. Ice cream shop right out there is yummy. JWB Restaurant across the path from the hotel had great service, wonderful atmosphere and okay food. HIDDEN GEM: Adult pool and bar on 4th floor. Clean, serene, beautiful infinity pool with sloped entry that hangs out over the edge over the resort with beach view. BEACH: The private beach is gorgeous. We didn't know until we asked around but the umbrellas are free to use, just like the chairs and towels, you just have to ask the guy to put up the umbrella for you! You can order food and drink from your spot on the beach from hotel restaurant or other vendors who walk by. CRITIQUES: There's nothing that would stop me from returning and you will love this hotel, too! I will tell you that my friends who stayed at Margaritaville with me (in different rooms) said they will go to Atlantis next time because they have stayed there before (and visited Atlantis on this trip) and remarked that the staff at Atlantis were noticeably nicer and happier, and that a lot of the Margaritaville staff acted like you were bothering them. Still I would say the staff at Margaritaville was cordial if not always warm and happy. There was a mixup and after all this hype about signing up for "Perks" I never got any, even though my friends (who I convinced to come on the trip) all got "Perks" as first time Margaritaville visitors. There was "yoga" listed on the daily schedule but no yoga to be found. And last but not least, when we checked in, they literally put a bracelet on us (how you pay in the cashless hotel) and that's all. They didn't orient us to the wonderful space, explain wifi, offer a map (it's a big property!), explain dining options or anything. It would have been nice to have information. But we wandered around and eventually stumbled into what we needed. I prefer Margaritaville to Atlantis, where I have stayed before. Atlantis is nice but my kids are grown and it's like a city in there. Margaritaville is large but doesn't feel overcrowded or as touristy.

A family of 4, beautiful place, but disappointed
We have just had a 7 day holiday here, hotel is nice and nearly built would I stop here again no sadly not For us the people aren’t as friendly as other countries we have visited and we have travelled well. The hotel requires $200 a night holding deposit, which you cant spend as credit it’s just damages, which apparently is on their website, but this isn’t shared by 3rd party bookers, so maybe it should be. Local tax is $53 a night again we were advised and this is expensive compared to most counties Housekeeping wasn’t brilliant had to ask for an our room to be cleaned on day 3 and even when it was it wasn’t great. Apart from on arrival we never got 4 towels, 3 if we were lucky Room are large but not a lot storage and some draws are pointless as nothing but paper can fit on. The taps in the bathroom Leaked so use the cupboards underneath the sinks unless you want wet items. The whole time we we there no shower gel, shampoo or conditioner was filled in fact they were empty for the whole time The swimming pool, slides and lazy river our kids loved and even with cruises it was never crowded. Annoyingly no height restrictions are shown around the slides and one life guard wouldn’t allow my little boy on, despite him being able to swim and had been on them lots of times before, so he couldn’t go on whilst she was on. They do have a cliff type jump, which again is brilliant, but maybe tell life guards not to be on the pool chatting to girls and allowing them using his life board as a float!!!! The resort is very expensive but The Bahamas in general and everything has tax and a tip included but not expect a smile, as you just don’t get them. We would normally always stay up and have a few drinks in the bars, but they were empty and no atmosphere I think for these reasons Interesting on check out we weren’t even ask how our holiday was …….

Above and beyond
8/21/23 From the time I walked in and was greeted by very kind guys, who provided me with towels and a warm smile I was sold. My daughter and I traveled on cruise, and used the resort pass, in which I highly recommend, when traveling on a cruise. The property was beautiful and had everything we needed. The beach was just what we needed. Lakiesha went above and beyond to ensure our day eas memorable. I was impressed by her work ethic, the young lady who was our waitress was pleasant and knowledgeable. I will be back.

Awesome staff, great service, all smiles
Friendly staff, very helpful, good energy! We didn't find a place to get a birthday cake but at dinner, our server Ian came with the whole crew, brought a piece of cake & sang a birthday song the Bahamas way! Better finish ur food, throw it away, or eat the rest later cold because there are no microwaves in the room, just a mini fridge. They put a $200 per day charge on your card. Our 4 days equal $800. So when you order your food, it's "charged to your room". Whatever you don't use is refunded to your card. Keep in mind, money is the same value as the U.S., dollar for dollar. I did appreciate that you can link your phone to the room television! It was nice to relax at night and watch a Netflix movie. Besides the food being pricey, we did enjoy the resort. A great place for some R&R, nice and clean, literally on the Oceans edge, and the staff never hesitates to ask if you need help with anything.
