    Expectations not met

    We sprung for an expensive night at this hotel based on a friends recommendation. We opted for an ocean view room. The pictures on that room showed a balcony looking directly at the ocean through rails. We got a high stucco wall that you could not see over unless standing. The patio furniture was so huge we could not get around it and there were smokers on the patio next door that made it difficult to enjoy. Ordinarily I would have requested a better room and view, but we had tours scheduled and only one night to celebrate our anniversary.

    Where's the Premium Ocean View???

    n celebration of our 40th anniversary we recently stayed at your hotel from April 11th to April 13th in room #1220. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing and did not meet my expectations. The front desk staff seemed disorganized and unfriendly. Check-in was slow, and my questions about the hotel amenities went unanswered or were met with confusion. My room was advertised as having a "premium ocean view," but when I arrived, the view was obstructed by a building, and I could barely see the ocean. This was a significant factor in my decision to book your hotel, and the discrepancy was disappointing. Additionally, the room was cold, and there was no heat. Given the chilly weather at night, this was uncomfortable and unexpected. We chose to checkout a day early than planned. I hope you will take these issues seriously and address them to improve the experience for future guests. I would appreciate a response regarding the steps you will take to rectify these problems.     Deceiving room - be careful when booking an ocean view room.

    Be careful when booking a room here. I booked a balcony room, assuming, based on pictures that it was an ocean front room. It turned out to be a garden/parking lot view. No where in the description did it say garden view room. I am extremely disappointed that Hyatt chose to ignore this important word. I feel like they purposely deceived me. I would have paid more or stayed elsewhere for an ocean front room.

    Awesome Family Hotel

    Beautiful hotel, great service. Perfect family spot in Santa Barbara. All of my family enjoyed the experience. On the beach in 60 seconds from leaving hotel. Very close to great shopping in State Street. So happy we chose this belittle for spring break!!!

    Recommended.

    Wonderful experience. The indoor-outdoor lobby is relaxing and lovely and it's across from the beach. Gym includes little yoga room, Peloton bikes, weights and treadmills. Customer service was very good. Didn't get charged for a few hours parking while checking in and loading all the stuff to the room. Loved the experience.
