Not my favorite hotel on the strip
October ‘24 conference attendee, I didn’t have a choice of hotels. I’ve stayed at many other strip hotels for perspective: Delano, Venetian, Palazzo, Aria, Park, New York New York, Four Seasons. I know not to expect more than the room night rate might suggest. Mandalay Bay doesn’t claim to be high end and I wouldn’t expect it to be. However there were issues even considering this. 1) there were plumbing sounds and noxious/sewer like odors coming from the overflow drain of my bathtub, the smell filled the room. I put shipping tape over the overflow drain which helped, but I did not want to call for assistance because I feared I would need to change rooms which I didn’t have time for and I knew the hotel was sold out 2) There were what appeared to be reddish brown (insect?) “crumbs” under my pillow - I discovered this after my first night, and since I didn’t have bites or welts didn’t report. I do have photos 3) the first night my adjoining room neighbors left their distressed/barking/panting dog unattended. After 1.5 hrs (~1 am?) I finally called front desk and security was prompt to come up, he even (at my request) brought extra towels to help muffle the barking coming through the adjoining door. Although this was appreciated, his first response prior to my towel request was he couldn’t do anything since there were guests in the room (there weren’t, they came back shortly after this while he was still there and he then spoke to them) 4) I didn’t like that my room (15-101) barely had a window which didn’t allow enough natural light to avoid using lights during the day

it was ok prob won't ever stay again. meh
be prepared to be nickled and dimed for everything. You may not use the fridge in the room for free. We got snacks/beverages instacart to the hotel but then had to buy a lunch bag to keep ice in it and store the bevs. No microwaves in the rooms either don't plan on saving any leftovers for a midnight snack when you get back to the room. Unless you bring a cooler and a hotplate. Thank goodness I travel with a electric travel size tea kettle- so I could make my coffee every morning. Theirs was filthy! Stains on the sheets I am hoping was rust and not blood. Inspect your bed and ask for new sheets and make the bed yourself. Be prepared to stand around at the wave pool the chairs cost like 75.00 a person or something like that. Everything else was fine. The location is closer to the Vegas sign end. Still easy to get around. I just feel like for what you pay in the rate and the fees plus the high deposit,... Beach chairs should be first come first serve. If you are traveling with family/kids might want to go somewhere were you can lounge by the pool for no extra cost I can't imagine going here with the kids.

Horrible customer service…
Starting at checkin our reserved rooms were not available. They tried putting us in a different hotel and/or a more expensive room adding additional costs. The actual rooms had unusable fridges. With the exception of the pool and spa employees the customer service was not there. Check in and check out was the worst experience I have ever had as an experienced traveler. Do desire to return to this hotel.

Mandalay Bay awesome
Loved the stay. Had a few issues but they were addressed and handled immediately! The resort is beautiful. The pools were awesome. Will be going back soon! Oh yeah the food at Citizens & The Libertine Social was excellent. Housekeeping Mgr was a Rockstar (forget her name I think her name was Austin).

Mandalay bay never disappoints and keeps you wanting to come back
The room was beautifully decorated and the beds were comfortable. Love the separate bathtub and stand up shower which would be great with small children. Our views were breathtaking, the layout was easy to get around without getting lost and the tram was a added bonus
