    Heaven on Earth!

Best Place Ever! This was a dream! Stunning location with beautiful rooms, pools, beach front, food and staff! Everything was perfect! All of the staff on the beach and pool areas were amazing! They remembered us every day! They took care of us and made us feel special. Rossy Santana at the pool area was especially on the ball and very informative and helpful. Every staff member there was happy, kind and helpful. We would most definitely stay here again!

Having the best time at Live Aqua!

My husband and I are currently staying at Live Aqua for a week and so far, we have been absolutely blown away by the service!! For example at the amazing crepe station we met Luis, Alfredo and Apolinaro! They heard my husband loved coconut and made us a fresh coconut ice cream with coconut water and chili shooters! I have a feeling that based on the service alone, this will be only resort we stay at while in Cancun! We will definitely update this review once our vacation is over with more details and more standout staff.

What a fantastic break from reality!

This was our first time at Live Aqua and it was nothing short of amazing! There are so many highlights to the trip that I thought it best to put my review in bullet format so that it didn’t go on forever. - Everything we ate was really enjoyable and there was an abundance of food everywhere. It is simply impossible to go hungry at this resort. - The soups are absolutely mindblowing. I am a lover of soups and stews and every morning a different was served and every morning I tried a new one! My favorite (and it seems everyone else’s) was the habanero cream bread bowl. Absolutely, positively and mind-blowingly delicious. - The aromatherapy is nothing to be reckoned with! What an experience to walk into our room daily to such a wonderful smell! We chose relaxation and it was a wise choice! - The staff: at the top of my list would be Damian and Manuel at the swim up bar, Wendy at the bar in between MD and the breakfast spot (Seven? I cannot recall the name). Edgar and Ellie with the Resident’s Club. Daniel (pool concierge) and Jesus who happened to be working at the Hidden Garden restaurant on our last night (1/17). I am learning Spanish and he spoke slower so I could understand and was so patient to repeat words I didn’t quite get (never heard yellow curry in Spanish before!) Kiko, the time share sales manager, Cresencio – at the beach bar nearest the pool. All of these individuals worked together to make for an absolutely outstanding experience. - The bed was so super comfortable, I could’ve laid there all day long! - The two shower heads were a major plus although a bit tricky at first to navigate. - Loved that each room has a water closet for the toilet that didn’t hold smells. - The gym facility was adequate, although an hour usually isn’t enough for most people who work out often. - Super appreciative of the sanitation efforts at every point in the resort. Cleanliness is obviously a top priority and it showed! What I was not a fan of: - Katia at the pool concierge. She was dismissive and seemed to lack caring and customer service. She stood out amongst her colleagues, and definitely not in a good way. - I didn’t enjoy the sushi. It was ok but it could’ve been better and I wish sashimi would have been offered. - The drinks and food temperature were a little inconsistent. If someone made a drink one way it was strong, others weak. Sometimes food wasn’t as warm as it should’ve been. - Disappointed with the live entertainment - The music at the swim up pool bar was absolutely HORRIBLE! The play list was inconsistent, old and definitely too Americanized. We don’t have to have a live Mariachi band but come on! - Please, at the Aka Bar, pay for YouTube red! Commercial after each song was annoying especially since that was the only place you could get even remotely some kind of party vibe. You don’t have to hire a DJ every night but PLEASE pick better music channels and again, pay for YouTube Red! Lastly, one thing that really would grind my gills was the lack of enforcement with masks and social distancing. I get that people are trying to escape the madness and we are all coming there for a slice of paradise but that does not mean it is acceptable to put others in jeopardy. I saw way too many guests not wearing their masks properly and too many people converging on the hot tub even though there was sign right in front that read it was a max of eight persons at a time. I feel bad because jerk guests would give the guy attitude when they didn’t catch them and say “what’s the big deal?”. He was so gracious and shouldn’t have to put up with that. I commend his restraint and customer service. The social distancing by guests seriously needs to be enforced by the staff. If people get an attitude, let them. Your primary purpose should be to keep people safe and if people cannot understand that, that would be their issue. Even with those few minor issues, I think we have found our go to spot when we return to Cancun. I cant see myself staying anywhere else now!

We had the best time at this resort. The food and drinks are wonderful and the service is great. The beach is beautiful, the rooms are very nice and the entire resort is clean! Our MB waiter Rolgelio was so awesome! He made every night we dined there special. Our pool waitress Ale and and our beach waiter Johnny were both fantastic! We will be back!
