WORST HOSPITALITY EVER EXPERIENCED by a WYNDHAM franchise
Checked in very late Monday March 9, 2020 by desk clerk who charged TAX on PET FEE, a minor charge yes; but a new experience in all my traveling. My husband and I checked out Tuesday March 10 after breakfast. A “man with foreign accent” refused to honor our Wyndham rewards membership card. This same man angrily reprimanded me earlier because I did know how to use the waffle iron correctly. Moving on. After arriving home in Michigan, I called on Thursday and talked to “a man with a foreign accent” about a bathrobe I may have forgotten in the first floor, two-bed, NONSMOKING room we had occupied. He said the storage room was locked and I had to call back during the day. I assumed that meant when housekeeping was available. I followed up this first phone call with an email and never received a response. NOTE I had already written a review on booking.com re numerous problems with our room i.e. the strong odor of cigarette smoke in bathroom and multiple other room issues. My second follow up call regarding bathrobe on Saturday March 14, (day 4 after checkout) “a man with a foreign accent” demanded to know why I waited “a WEEK” to call and they don’t “store” stuff. I said that he had told me to call back. He angrily said HE had NOT talked with me and hung up on me. I called back advising him that if he had not talked to me, it must have been a different man with a foreign accent who instructed me to call back, He hung up on me again. I called a third time and this RUDE man with an explosive temper reiterated the motel is not a storage and if I left anything in the room it was thrown in the garbage! SLAM! The WYNDHAM Motels would do better than lend their name and risk their reputation to such an unacceptable and undeserving excuse of hospitality.
Excellent budget hotel!
This is the nicest Super 8 at which we’ve ever stayed. Our room was clean and fairly updated, the linens and mattress were very good. The lobby was nice and breakfast had quite a few options, including hot items. The WiFi was very good. We would definitely stay again.
Staff needs to clean more thoroughly. The staff needs to understand what the front desk is asking. They told him the room I stayed in was clean. When I went to the room it was not clean. Then went to the bathroom and it was not really clean.
Rooms fine, staff rude
After staying here earlier this year, we didn't even think about staying anywhere else. To our surprise at check-in, we were told that the Trivago quote did not apply to ground floor rooms. When I told the staff member we had stayed previously, he said he would give us the same rate we had three months earlier but did not give a printout. My husband went back to speak with him and he was very rude, giving excuses, etc. Next morning, my husband spoke to the manager, who was confused because we had been charged only $1 more than the Trivago quote. It was as if the man had just wanted to argue and be rude! We stayed two more nights and every day it was some type of rude harassment, ignoring do not disturb sign to calling the room unnecessarily. It wasn't as if we were asking for special favors. Because of recent surgeries and illness, we needed a place to rest between shopping for Christmas. We allowed three days for shopping because of this and just wanted to be allowed to keep to ourselves and rest as needed. Needless to say, we will look for some other place to stay next time. That is sad because the location is very convenient and the rooms are clean and pretty nice but the staff needs to realize that rudeness runs off repeat business. Between the two stays, we stayed at this hotel a total of 8 nights this year and didn't feel we deserved the abuse we received this time. The customer may not always be right but the customer is always the customer and has other choices of a place to stay. Customer SERVICE and friendliness mean a lot to most people.

I enjoyed the stay. I only had one complaint which was the bathroom did not have a fan to neutralize odors. The staff was very fiendly. The room was nice and clean but the pillows are to small and need to be bigger.
