Nice beach, good food, some major misses on the hotel

The resort is on a beautiful stretch of beach in North Naples. Restaurant is lovely, and the food was good and the menu was approachable. Literally every person on staff was lovely, kind and friendly. Chairs and towels at the beach were great. No nutty competition for chairs. A nice outdoor space to laze on the beach for a long weekend. However, at roughly $1200 per night, there were some big misses: -no free central morning coffee bar. Low end keurig in the room but no milk or cream. Takeaway coffee from a big thermos was $8 a cup. Come on. This is a small, inexpensive amenity for those of us staying at the hotel that really should have been offered gratis. Annoying. -everything in the room had a price tag on it. No bottled water offered. Again, $8 for a warm bottle of Evian. Even a Hampton Inn offers free water bottles. It is not welcoming. -no note welcoming us. No turndown service. -Tub was older and had some cracks in it. -A bathroom should have a proper door, not a louvered pocket door that offered no privacy. -no info upon arrival about any amenity in the hotel…no tour, no booklet or folder in the room, no intro at the check in desk. You check in and you are on your own. -elevators and hallways were tired. Lots of dents and scratches and areas that needed sweeping, attending to, painting. -pool area was a little sad because of a big construction project next door. -website mentions complimentary bikes, but the only bikes available were e bikes that we had to rent for $15 per hour. - gym is under construction, so the only gym is 3 miles away which was challenging without a car.

    Favorite in Naples!

Feels like a little oasis, but it’s right off the main drag! Gorgeous, private. Amazing service. On Day 1, we saddle up to the tiki bar and get a pina colada with a 151 floater, and away we go! Baleen is totally overpriced, so we usually only book it for our last night, but Naples has loads of dining options.

Nice place but not a luxury resort

Nice place, very good service and a nice beach. Is it a luxury resort? No. Is it a nice place ? Yes The main problem is that Naples is just expensive, so I wouldn’t call it overpriced relative to the competition, but at a $1,000 per night there are some things that need improvement. I am not going to complain about some amenities still being worked on. They got beat up in the hurricane and need to be dealt with. There are some public areas outside the rooms that need a touch up and some cleaning. Nothing bad, but not high end. No real privacy in the bathroom. There is a louvred pocket door that is really noisy (if somebody is sleeping) and no sound barrier to the bathroom. The oceanfront balcony is lovely. Great views. At the price you would expect a minimum of a couple free bottles of water in the room. There are none, just $9 bottled water. I don’t love Florida tap water so that seems ridiculous The restaurant was redone and we had a pretty good meal, but having just been redone the interior is very pedestrian and non descript. A nice place, but not what you expect for the cost.

    Very Disappointed

Hotel is not in good shape. There was mold on the ceilings of our room they tried to cover with paint. Rain came in under the door and was coming through the roof in the lobby. Shower had low pressure. Tub had chips and rust in it. Not a $1000 a night room by any stretch. On a positive note, breakfast at the restaurant was very good and the service was great there as well.
