Breath taking vacation spot
I love the view , customer service and all inclusive amenities this place has to offer. I would recommand everyone to experience this opportunity for themselves. It has something for eveyone and every age.
First, the positive: the staff was great and the pool was as promised. I enjoyed swimming laps. The pool area looked like a lovely place to be on a sunny day. Unfortunately I was there in the rain. Now the negative: by their prices, one would expect a fairly high quality experience, but not with this hotel. Although the room had been remodeled, it lacked quality. My room was musty. Throughout the hotel I noticed issues with water. The heating unit was ancient and the loudest I had ever experienced. Because the bedding was light, I had to leave it running all night. Thank goodness for earplugs. I have come to expect a robe in hotels of this price range, but there wasn't one in my closet. The food was mediocre at best. I determined that I was paying for the location with this hotel. I wouldn't stay here again.
A Hearty Stay
With the current environment you would expect hotels now to have no staff at all. I won’t say that’s not the case here but the people I interacted with at Kona Kai made me feel like we were in our own world without any problems. Gabby helped us out a lot during our stay and recommended good places to eat at. She was always smiling and greeting us at the Lobby (by name too!) and when we needed help she sounded happy on the phone as well. The people at valet were very alert and ready to help. The food was good. Worth staying here for the marina view and the staff.
The staff was excellent and the view outstanding. The only reason I rated sleep quality average was you are very near the military base and the jets are loud, so napping was interesting. Peaceful setting.
Our stay at Kona Kai was more than extraordinary with the views, food, staff and the room itself. Valet was amazing from start to finish Khaleal, Cesar and Danny were friendly and fast everytime we needed our car. The front desk staff was extremely welcoming and helpful especially Sean, Vania, Alyssa and Gabby. Its one thing to have a great property but its staff like this that keep us coming back!!
