Hospitality??
70yo couple here who traveled cross country to attend a wedding. Had a reservation for 4 nights. Upon our drive to Keystone from Denver airport, we realized these were not roads we wanted to be on at 4am upon our departure to make it back to Denver after the 4th night. . So upon check in we told them we would check out a day early so we could travel back to Denver in daylight, spend the night there for our next mornings flight. In part this request was because we noted there were no highway lights on n this interstate- and in fact on our way there the rains had caused a rockslide and the hwy closed for 3 hours- not the conditions we wanted to travel back to DIA at 4am. We were denied- told they would still charge us for the 4th night- despite the fact we we’re giving them 3 day’s notice. Particularly maddening was the front desk telling us that if we had cancelled the 4th nite before we chexked in, it wouldn’t have been a problem. So… call the desk from the parking lot vs talking to them in person 5min later would have made the difference?!? Ridiculous! We still checked out after the 3rd night- but now paid two locations for the 4th night- but at least navigated our way to Denver safely and will fly out tomorrow. Good riddance Keystone lodge..

Clean, friendly, good value--definitely recommended
We went during the summer and really enjoyed our night there; it made us want to visit sometime in the winter, to take advantage of the skiing and skating. The amenities are impressive and up-to-date, and everyone was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the steam room, hot tubs, and pool, as well. There was a little bit of inconsistency with the village retailers (i.e, the main Keystone Lodge restaurant was closed for updates, so we went to the village eateries: I ordered food at a burger place while my family went to another for pizza; I was told I'd be served there and that I could take my drink there, but the pizza place said "no," referencing liability issues--it seemed a little more rigid than was necessary). Overall, though, it was a very nice experience and we would definitely recommend it!

Stay Away!
Karina checked us in and told us we were in one of her favorite rooms. I never say her again to ask her why she gave us that room. We really didn't have much of a view and we were placed next to a remodeling project at the lodge which we had to listen to the drills early in the morning. The website said that the restaurants opened 6/2023. There were no restaurants on the premises, except Lakeside Deli which had overpriced breakfast items. For example, for $3 you can get a Danish that is about 2 1/2 inches in diameter. The swimming pool had algae that got worse each day and the staff didn't seem to care. Parking is across the highway, as stated on the website. We didn't want to walk back and forth in order to find a place to eat our meals. Because there was no place to eat and we had to listen to the remodel noise, we asked if we could check out early. We were told that we would still have to pay for all the days we reserved. You will be charged a resort fee if you book on their website. It may be included on other websites as the total for the room. It is about $50 more a day per room.

Up and down
room large with balcony - good bed and bedding - plenty of towels. Cleaned every other day - but not much dusting. My room was far end of hotel so I carried ski boots to one elevator bank - must have walked 5 miles in a week. Ski valet system was good - would not take poles. Shuttle and public bus to keystone base was fine - except when it snowed and shuttle replaced by SUV - getting back at end of day took a good 45 mins. Long haul to ski at Breckenridge with shuttle to bus stop. Food - restaurant seems to be franchise owned separately - cannot connect from front desk and no one answers phone - same day booking on website did not work for us. Limited staff so hard to get table even in bar which required waiter service. However if you sit at bar you can order same things! Food good but entrees very pricy. Bar was good - only one bar person - both from Argentina who worked very hard to deal with food and drinks. Spa and pool nice except for kids in hot tubs. Front desk uneven - a few knew nothing - no printed information. Place needs a renovation. Except for shuttle was not seeing 4stars

Stay Elsewhere
We reserved a King Room with a Loft but was told when we were checking in that the room was only available for one of the two nights we reserved it. We were downgraded and still charged for the larger room. Management was not helpful and the front desk staff was rude. The facility is mediocre at best. The rooms are very small. The food is disappointing. The thermostats in the rooms are basically useless. If you want an enjoyable and comfortable stay, stay somewhere else.
