Small hotel feel with big amenities
This was my second time staying here (the first was 6 years ago). Love the new restaurant and enhanced bar/grill. What really sets this hotel apart in my opinion is the beautiful courtyard grassy area with flowering trees that offers a respite from the beach, the super friendly staff, and the Hawaiian feel in the decor and landscaping and available activities. Great place to relax and enjoy Maui!

Spectacular Vacation
Snorkeling at Black Rock unbelievable- swam with turtles every day. Room (standard) was great, all staff warm and friendly. Food was pricey, but I’d expected that. Hoping Outrigger doesn’t change much.

Wonderful Stay at KBH
We had a wonderful stay at Kaanapali Beach Hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the setting is beautiful. We would definitely stay at Kaanapali Beach Hotel again if we return to Maui.

Nice hotel
The Cultural center is great. The Staff especially the bell staff were wonderful, they went above and beyond. The room was cute, a garden view with a little patio. Our only issues were that the room shower needed a hand held sprayer, being by the beach we couldn't get the sand off mainly because their beach/pool showers didn't have enough force to blast it off. A towel hook fell off the wall and hit my husband in the head while he was on the toilet. There appeared to have been attempts to fix it before, but not well. Other than that, it's a nice hotel- the look is the most authentic Hawaiian hotel we stayed at during our 3 weeks on the islands.

Awesome beach front location but rooms need renovation
If you’re looking for luxury this is not the place. The rooms need to be renovated and our carpet always felt damp. We only needed to stay somewhere for 1 night so we could manage but I would not have stayed here longer. The price was very reasonable compared to other hotels on Kaanapali Beach though. It is right in the middle of the action so location is awesome. Easy to walk to Whalers Village with many stores and dining options.
