Excellent location and wonderful service
The stay at Ka La'i was perfect. Although the hotel and the rooms are not among the most modern, its location and most importantly the excellent service and the kindness of the staff made the stay absolutely wonderful. The breakfast buffet is very good. A special mention for the Concierge team (Alexandre, Ines and the others) always ready to help and give recommendations to enjoy the activities and visits. Would definitely go back without hesitation !

Comfortable Week Stay with Our 2-Year-Old
We had a great stay at Ka La‘i last week with our 2-year-old. The location is ideal if you have a car and plan to explore the island, and the staff were attentive throughout. Rooms are quite spacious and comfortable. Huge thanks to Roy, Brittney, and Jason from the Bell and Valet team, they were amazing with our toddler and gave us great suggestions for her nap-time drives. The pool is a bit small, though that’s just the hotel’s design. We also wish there were more kid-friendly amenities or activities. One staff member mentioned bath toys were available, but when we followed up, it turned out they weren't offered, which was a bit disappointing. The front desk experience could have been better, more of a push for a room upgrade than a warm welcome, and no mention of amenities. We’d definitely return next time we're back in Oahu.

Excellent service!
Great service. Nice rooms. Kelly and Camille at the bar are excellent, made some good drinks for us, and food was great. Pool service was excellent. At the check in was the friendliest person Princess. Definitely coming back, hopefully next year.

Excellent Resort with a prime location and stellar service.
Wrapping up a one night stay before heading to another island. This hotel is perfect. Excellent service and the location is prime. One block from the beach, and one block to all the best shopping and restaurants. The rooms are unexpectedly large for Honolulu and the beds are super comfy. The rooms have a fully stocked kitchen. Small pool but did I mention Waikiki Beach is one block away? Book this.

Perfection at its best!
We have stayed at many AMEX FHR hotels and this one tops them all. The resort offers many generous gifts including an arrival treat (toffee & Italian Prosecco), travel water bottles, room upgrade, and f&b credit. The restaurant menu can be little price but the quality and service is there to support it. The happy hour is solid, with generous portions at reasonable prices. 2 adult breakfast buffets were included (valued at $50 each) and had solid, quality options. We had 2 kids under 12 for an additional $19 each for the Buffett. We didn’t use the galley kitchen but it seemed very well stocked if you wanted to cook-in. I’d like to thank the management at this hotel. You can tell a very well run hotel by the way the employees have a true interest in their guests instead of forced interactions. Nothing fake like other resorts - Ka La’i was very genuine and on point. Many of the employees anticipate your next need before you even ask. We also loved the concierge at the ground floor helping with surf boards and floats for the kids - even a bag full of towels. The fact this hotel is not ocean front is quickly make up for with these complementary amenities. I think they also offered chairs, too. The public beach is a short 1-block walk and is not busy at all. Please note - all beaches in Waikiki are public so there isn’t a huge advantage in booking a beach front hotel. Thank you for an amazing stay - we will certainly return!
