No AC and RUDE
AC does NOT work anywhere - especially in the rooms. We are here with a group of 26 and we needed to change building so we could keep the younger kiddos together. We already upgraded to a premium suite and they made us pay an additional $35 a night for a smaller room just so we could move. Grecia is THE WORST front desk manager, horribly rude and unaccommodating. I would not come back here again. Grecia pretty much ruined the trip for us.

Back again!
Oh my goodness!!! Yes, another trip to this awesome place! This time, third time this year in 2025, but this time solo. Another awesome time made very special at this resort at the Tucan because of the incredible staff and Daniel Lopez Rueda wearing the many hats and responsibilities of Reception Supervisor mainly at the Tucan. His amazing customer service and dedication to creating a positive guest experience created another awesome trip to this resort. He was extremely helpful and professional and if I had any questions about something was always happy to help. It is always my “happy place “ to escape and want to mention Alfonso, Rene, and Alfredo as others that contributed to my always returning back to this resort knowing the customer service is a 5 Star. Yes, the lobby, buffet areas, and bars are very warm in the summer without a/c, but the grounds and jungle walks are lovely and pristine. Mother Nature has made some messy beaches with the seaweed, but the beach and grounds crew does a wonderful job of trying to keep up with the seaweed cleanup. The Tucan will not disappoint you if you love nature, the beach, and incredible staff!! Looking forward to returning again soon to “Paradise!”

Amazing experience - 5 stars
Absolutely amazing! We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, the food was delicious with plenty of variety, and everything was well organized. We stayed with our two babies and it went exceptionally well, the hotel is very family-friendly and comfortable. I would recommend this place without hesitation! Note: The beach wasn’t swimmable due to sargassum, but we were aware of this before our trip, so it wasn’t a disappointment.

Great vacation
*"My daughter and I stayed for 7 days at the Iberostar Waves Tucan. Everything was perfect—the food, the staff (including the excellent service at the reception from @Abi) and the beach. The room was clean and comfortable. The fire show was impressive. I highly recommend this hotel.

100% recommend!
Absolutely loved this resort. My family of 3 visited June 29-July 6 and had a total blast. We were really impressed by the food (best I've personally ever had at an all-inclusive, usually I feel somewhat bloated and sick by the end but not here), stunning jungle-style spaces, and all the animal fun. My 6 year old totally loved seeing all the animals on the property (monkeys, peacocks, coati, flamingos, other exotic birds, iguanas etc). And they had a little ceramic painting station to take a break from the sun (for an extra price), and lots of fun activities for everyone. Would 1000% recommend and hope to be back soon!
