Iberostar waves experience
The commute from the airport was quick, the bus was cool and comfortable. Upon arriving at the hotel, check-in took a lot longer than we had anticipated. They only had a couple of people working the desk for a significant large group. The property is quite large and is connected to several other properties. Thankfully they had a tram car to get us around during our stay. They had our family of four with two young children on the third floor. Keep in mind, buildings do not have elevators so we had to walk three flights of stairs multiple times per day and in the heat. We did request a main floor room but unfortunately they were not able to accommodate us. Our room was clean. Spacious with a nice view. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The refrigerator was refilled every other day with beverages. By the third or fourth day we had to request additional towels. The buffets were great. Food was delicious and fresh. We only had the opportunity to try one of the a la carte restaurants which was the Japanese and we were pleasantly surprised. The resort has an abundance of different animals everywhere such as peacocks and flamingos. We found the nightly entertainment to be a bit on the boring side. Lobby, bingo and karaoke was probably the most prominent of entertainment that we saw. If you're looking to purchase souvenirs, don't do it at the resort or the market. That's local as it is very overpriced . The swimming pools and bars were great as well. Overall, as a whole the resort is great for families.

Perfecto
We love the resort, food, amanities and service from our concierge Luis Martinez from lobby beach! His service was amazing! We enjoyed ever moment of it and would recommend this resort to anyone. Would come again! First time Mexico, not our last for sure!

Wedding celebration trip of 20 friends/family ages 14-64
FANTASTIC hotel! We were a group of 20 who visited to celebrate a wedding. All said rooms were clean, food was great with lots of options, pool and drink bar were fun! We were able to get all 20 at a table for Japanese Hibachi thanks to Concierge Wendy, everyone loved it and food was amazing. The newlyweds made arrangements thru Alexia (wedding office) for a special garden dinner one night, they made it SO lovely and intimate, it cost extra but was worth it. Gabriel who lead evening games in the lobby was lots of fun. Iberostar again provided high quality services for a reasonable price!!

5 Stars In Mexico
The resort was amazing. Both my girlfriend and I had an amazing vacation. The rooms are lovely and the service is top-shelf from the many restaurants, the Spa, the bar tenders and the crew who shuttle you in golf carts throughout the resort. We met Luis Martinez in the hotel lobby and he was amazing. He gave us great advice on the shopping choices and Playa del Carmen and what to avoid while shopping there. He is a great guy with a wealth of knowledge on the local area. This is a trip we will never forget, and we will be coming back this December for sure.

Horrible please go else where!!!! More like a 3 star experience
Where do I even start? If you’re not a membership holder, don’t expect access to the nicer areas of the resort. The food was disappointing, and the beverages were of the cheapest quality. Want to use the cabanas by the pool? That’ll cost you extra. Plus let’s say you want to do it well then you need to do it way in advance according to the concierges by the pool. Even though you see them empty all day. I traveled with my handicapped mother, and the experience was especially disheartening. Most of the golf cart drivers were rude—particularly the Cuban driver. The only one who showed kindness and respect was Josue . He went out of his way to take care of my mom, making sure she always got to the lobby and our room comfortably. Big shoutout to Bidelia and Beiby as well—they did a fantastic job keeping our room clean despite being clearly overworked and underpaid (only $150 biweekly!). Unfortunately, these few kind staff members were the only bright spots in an otherwise disappointing stay. I would never recommend this overpriced resort. It felt more like a 3-star experience at best. Please don’t waste your money—book elsewhere.
