    Fabulous Vacation During the pandemic!

Set aside your fears during this pandemic, the Iberostar Selection Playa Mita has done an amazing job with all the required necessities to provide a clean and sanitized resort. Space is provided in every area you attend. Not only is the resort beautiful, the food from all five restaurants are great. The most important to my family and I, was their superior customer service. The personalized treatment they provided to each one of us was special and top notch. Thank you Isaac, Gio, Carlos, Jennifer and all of the other friendly, always smiling and greeting staff you come across with. Your genuine customer service will be missed! The WOW factor

I went to this resort for the first time 3years ago, and it was amazing top 5 in all aspects!! Food, shows, entertainment, service!!! Everything was perfect. We decided to book it again and the wow factor was gone!!! The beds on the room a little bit smaller than in the past and uncomfortable, the maintenance took two days to glue a plastic dispenser on my room, the food in the nopal restaurant exactly the same for breakfast, ugh didn’t want to get back. The shows not what I have seen in the past.. they look like school performance, uncoordinated, not prepared.. sigh what a disappointment!!.. they tried to improve, they did!! But the excuse is the pandemic!! That’s NOT AN EXCUSE!! IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO DO BETTER, THE HOTEL HAS LESS CUSTOMERS, then KEEP PEOPLE INFORMED OF THE CHANGES., ENGAGE THE PEOPLE IN ALL ACTIVITIES. the only show worth it is the Mexican and they only made ONE show but they Announced TWO so when we went, it was no show!!! WHY ALL THE ACTIVITIES ARE DONE AT 1am??? The band ended to play every night at 10:50 and the AUTOMATIC DJ STARTED!!! Ughhh. With ugly music and he doesn’t care that all of us are there, he is busy picking up cables and don’t interact with anybody??? It’s VACATION TIME PEOPLE!!!! PLEASE!!! WE WANT TO BE UP AND DANCING AND LISTENING TO MUSIC AND HAVE PEOPLE MAKE THE TIME AND THE MONEY WE SPENT .. WORTH IT!!! PLEASE!!!!

    too loud and busy

It was a nice place, but there were too many kids who were allowed in areas that should have been designated adults only. Pool bar actually had signs that read no children, but everyday there were kids not only by the bar, but sitting and playing on the stools. They just seemed to congregate in that area and no one said anything even though the signs were there. The staff and the parents just ignored it. Don't get me wrong I love kids, but when I'm on a vacation with my husband and just want to relax and read, it's really hard too do that when kids are yelling, throwing balls, splashing water. The resort should consider this when creating areas and ensure that there are quiet / adults only sections so that everyone can be happy.

    Amazing time

We had such a great time at this resort! Super friendly staff, great food, many fun activities. Entertainment staff Gio, Pepe, Marcelo went out of their ways to ensure we all had fun. From Bingo games to water aerobics and salsa lessons our family of 12 had a blast. Victor at the bar made special drinks for us. Adrian at the breakfast buffet was so enthusiastic with a big smile and made us try different sweets. We felt very safe amid the pandemic because the staff take every measure to accommodate social distancing and hand sanitizing. In our experience this was the best time to travel as the resort was not too crowded. Here are a few tips before you go: take your hydro flask with you as there are no bottle waters offered at the resort and there are many water stations you can fill up. Take pesos with you to pay for taxi or shuttle as the exchange rate at the hotel is ridiculous and taxis don’t take credit card.

    Masks are required

Please, be aware that you must wear a masks In public area. Beaches are closed, Staff is fighting with you not to swim in the hotel area. Everything else is excellent but those requirements to wear a mask make us uncomfortable. If we knew we would not come.
