Disappointing stay at a fading resort
This was my second time staying at this resort, and unfortunately, the quality has noticeably declined. The rooms are outdated and in need of renovation—ours had smudges on the walls, a bathroom window that wouldn’t close completely, and even visible mold. Dining was also disappointing. The food was mediocre at best, and getting into the restaurants was a frustrating experience—you need to line up by 5:30 PM just to get a table. Customer service left much to be desired as well. The staff at the front desk were unhelpful and had an attitude when asked basic questions. The entertainment during the day was dull, and there weren’t many activities to choose from. Overall, the resort no longer offers good value. I’d recommend looking elsewhere unless you have very low expectations.

Destination Wedding
All in all this was a fantastic resort. We would return! The resort is exactly how described on line. Very picturesque! You arrive at the family friendly side of the resort. You are whisked away in a golf cart to the Coral (adults only). Greeted with a refreshing non-alcoholic beverage. Check in process was a bit slow as only 1 person was working. Some of our party rooms were not ready. Either way, they slap a bracelet on you and your able to start your vacation right away. They provide luggage storage. PRO's: - ALMOST Everything! - No room keys to have to lug around. Your Iberostar bracelet is your room key and give you access to the adult only side. - Staff was amazing. Special shout out to Luis and Santiago (swim up pool bar) and Jaime (lobby bar). They remembered your name and what you were drinking, had it ready before you even got to the bar. - Rooms super clean and comfy. Spacious. Oceanfront views for what seemed miles, We had a higher floor room. - Mini fridge in room was well stocked. We requested it to be filled with just Coke Zero and water. Done without any hesitation. - The beautiful infinity pool had daily activities; Beach and Pool Volleyball, Trivia, Pool Darts, Cornhole Tournaments. They also had water yoga and spin classes in the pool. All were well attended. - Food was good overall. The breakfast and lunch buffets had lots of traditional options, always the best fruit. Be sure to try the Mango Station! - The American Bistro was average. This is the only restaurant we felt the service was not as great as throughout the resort. No reservations needed. - The Hibachi restaurant; Each station seats 18, portions were smaller than expected for hibachi . Our chef was not the most personable. Reservations required. - The Italian restaurant - DO NOT SKIP IT!! CONS: - Only 1 very slow elevator. - The pillows were logs. HARD!! - Nightly entertainment needs some work. Very few options and if/when something was scheduled it was lack luster. - Constantly trying to get you to sign up for a timeshare presentation.

One of the best resorts I’ve been to
This place is amazing. We had a corner room and it was massive and beautiful. The buffet was above average than other resorts. The food was delicious. The staff was so friendly. The front lobby is open and bright. When your at the coral you get the perks of ordering the specials at the a la carte restaurants where the family part has to pay. We got 4 baseball size tenderloin steaks which at home would be minimum $200. We will be coming back!

Jury is still out if we would stay here again
We have stayed at Iberostar in the past loved the food and the resort but being as my husband and I don’t have kids we starting staying at all adults resorts. When the Coral selection opened up we booked our next vacation there. Room is amazing and housekeeping is top notch!! Check in was easy but.. there is only one working elevator. The broken elevator stayed broken the whole time we were there and according to the other guests it hadn’t worked for over a week before our arrival. One restaurant and snack bar on the adults side and the “specialty restaurants” are on the family side. It is first come first serve so there is a little bit of a wait. Our second night we waited about an hour to eat at the Italian restaurant. It wasn’t a problem at all. Italian restaurant is the best. Second night we went to get on the waiting list for the steakhouse and was told by Paola, It was family night and she wouldn’t seat groups that were smaller than 6 to 8 people. I walked off upset and then came back and said I didn’t care I wanted to get on the list. I gave her my phone number and she said in a very snippy manner “oh, you are an American.” I understand the unrest and chaos going on with immigration here in the United States but I feel that an employee at a resort in Cancun should keep their opinions to themselves when dealing with the public. I am really trying not to let this one night bother me to the point of not staying at Iberostar again but for now the jury is out.

Amazing hotel
This is probably one of the best hotels we've stayed at! This is a slightly delayed review, but we loved our experience on this hotel, so I wanted to make sure we leave our feedback. We stayed at this hotel in Sept 2023. My husband and I choose this hotel to celebrate our honeymoon, and we mainly stayed around the adults-only area. It was a very relaxing and peaceful environment, and we always appreciated the number of sunbeds that were available. All the staff members were so warm and welcoming. Every single member we spoke to was incredibly lovely and always went above and beyond to be helpful. The quality of the food and drinks was also great. The italian restaurant on site was amazing, and it was definitely worth a try. A special thank you to your entertainment team! They did a fantastic job organizing engaging challenges and games throughout the day. Our only minor suggestion would be for a bit more entertainment options in the evening, but even without it, we had an absolutely amazing experience.
